Do you think he'll retire and hang them up, if he's got something left i think he'd beat guerraro and malignaggi. hope he doesn't quit and gives it another go

Nah hes not done. Just kind of a pointless endeavour to try and come back and win titles again from the get go. Theres only so many times u can quit and come back

you got to admit there are many winnable fights out there for him, if he has the right corner he could do big things

The problem is yes those fights are winnable but Victor has a history of being in a winnable fight and finds a way to lose it :deal

He's not done, he's just not that good. In terms of skills, he's lacking a ton. In terms of mental toughness, durability, and resolve, he's lacking a ton.

I say throw him in with some real soft touches to improve his confidence a bit and slowly have him fight guys who pack more of a punch and present more of a challenge. Maybe he has another gutsy performance or two in him similar to what he showed against Berto. He'll never be an elite fighter or the top welterweight in the world, but I wouldn't put it past him to win another title belt. Then again, I wouldn't put it past him to quit while he's ahead in his next fight against a journeyman and say in the post-fight interview that he has no interest in fighting again.

    Strange guy. Really unpredictable.

its a shame when i saw the ortiz vs berto fight i really thought young victor had such a great potential and really thought with his young legs and raw aggressiveness he would give mayweather problems not beat him but give him problems instead he seemed to wait for mayweather to hit him with the cheap shot and seemed completly okay with it afterwards.

most fighters would demand an imediate rematch, he then loses a fight against lopez (who will get found out to be average when he goes up against canelo) needs to get his mean streak back and maybe could have a future

he needs to fight every fight like the Berto fight, i thought he was gonna do that against Lopez but he ran away and tried to box, hes a better brawler than boxer he needs to pressure his opponents for the whole fight but not sure if he has the mental strength to do that anymore

Physically no way. He's a beast physically and he can recover from a broken jaw and come back stronger.

The problem with Victor is his mental state. Does he really want this as much as a fighter should? I don't know, every time I see an interview with him, boxing is the last thing he seems to want to talk about.

He always says things like "boxing isn't my entire life" or "I have other things I want to accomplish outside of boxing"

Even if those things are true, he should be 100% focused on being the best boxer he can be. It seems like he's not there 100% and when you face a guy who is willing to die in the ring like Josesito Lopez, you will lose.

i agree, i also think he got big and chose that bully style so that his opponent would always fold under the pressure, the 2 warriors he fought (Maidana and Lopez) he mentally broke down because he couldnt bully them, i remember Khan sayin in an interview Ortiz got alot bigger since they first met so maybe he just wanted to fight like a bull n ko everyone but it didnt work

Not a fan but he's not done yet, he's still better then josesito **** happens..and should of been a rematch instead of josesito fighting canelo.. Same with josesito he has power but he's missing a lot and ortiz is an overall better boxer then him.

Change of trainer will give him another boost of confidence.
Vic seems like a humble dude so he can bounce back from "L's".

He knows what he can do... He'll be back.
(Will need to fully heal up tho, Lucky for him he has youth on his side)

^ No need for a rush kid.
