Postol took Taylor deep and pretty much schooled Robmirez. But Taylor has wins over Rougarou and Postol, so he's the 140 kingpin. Taylor Postol Prograis Robmirez I hope Taylor doesn't go life and death with the Asian dude.
Postol has been world class for years but people dismiss him because they dislike Crawford for some reason.
Very good fighter, a lot of people were high on him and picked him to beat Crawford, then proceeded to **** on him after he lost. Showed his class against Taylor in a very close fight.
Postol was just a bad style match up for Ramirez & Taylor. The Taylor & Ramirez match up will be totally different in that it's going to turn in to a battle of attrition imo.Anyone saying Taylor is going to blast out Ramirez are way off, though I do expect Taylor win this.
I tend to agree. While I do not believe that Taylor will walk through Ramirez, as some are suggesting, I do expect him to win a 116-112 type decision. Taylor simply has more wrinkles to his game. He hits as hard if not harder, has superior hand and foot speed, and generally speaking is more refined/technical. I'm picking the Scot to win a phone booth firefight.
Deep? He won 4 rounds & was dropped too.. as soon as Josh found his rhythm he was beating him comfortably. Watch it again.
Yep could end up similar to the baranchyk fight.Taylor will make this a dogfight and come out on top imo.
Well. Ramirez is definitely one of the most overrated guys at 140. He arguably lost two of his last three fights (Postol and Zepeda).
Going into the Postol fight Taylor was only 12-0, had only fought one world class fighter before (a past prime Miguel Vazquez), had fought zero world title fights, had never been past 9 rounds, and was giving away 4'' in reach. And obviously Postol knows how to use his reach and keep it at range very well. JCR was 25-0 when he fought Postol, was taking part in his 4th world title fight, had been 10 or more rounds four times - including the full 12 round distance x 3, had fought 3 or 4 world class opponents, and was only giving away 1'' in reach. Crawford was 28-0 when he fought Postol, was taking part in his 7th world title fight, had fought six or seven world class opponents, had been 10 or more rounds four times - including going the full 12 x 2, and he had a slight reach advantage over him. Postol had a 3'' reach advantage over him whereas against Taylor and JCR it was only an inch.
