Wlad will go down as the better fighter because of his resume.

Vitali would win head to head. Yes I know TKO6 and RTD9 but we never truly saw him defeated.

I don't think it's even close, especially in a Prime for Prime situation. Vitali is a tough fighter who can withstand pressure and adversity much better than his brother.

I always thought Vitali was a better fighter and had a more killer instinct. Awkward as hell, but it's effective unlike his little bro was this past weekend...well I guess that was effective too, lol.

Wladimir hits harder, Vitali has a better chin, is more exciting, is easier to hit clean, doesn't spoil as much. Vitali is surely the more vulnerable when he fights, but his chin is iron and he throws a shitload of punches. The injury just made his power vastly inferior to his brother's. Wlad sticks to a gameplan dogmatically, keeps his hands up, blocks shots better than Vitali.

I think Wlad's a better fighter technically and hits harder, but Vitali is just a tough, tough customer.

I like them both, even with Wlad's awful performance against Povetkin.

I always thought Vitali was better. What I mean by better is that I think H2H/prime vs. prime Vitali beats Wlad and Vitali beats more good/great HWs than Wlad could.

Vitali has never been down. Wlad has been down several times and has been stopped 3 times. Vitali does have 2 TKO losses. In the first loss he quit due to a shoulder injury LTKOby9 (in a fight he was clearly winning). In his only other loss LTKOby6, he was also clearly winning when the fight was stopped due to cuts around Vitali's eyes. Vitali has clearly won all of his other fights.

Durability is very important and Vitali is much more durable than Wladimir.

I think people let one Povetkin fight cloud their judgment. Just because Wlad performed terribly ( yet still won every round) in the last fight, people quickly forget that his previous 4 fights were actually more or less exciting. Especially his last two. Wach fight showed a really aggressive Wlad and there is no way Vitaliy beats him better than Wlad did.
However, style make fights. I feel that against Iggy, Haye Vitaliy does better. I always thought that Chagaev, Byrd, and until saturday Povetkin were the easier fighters for Wlad.
I was extremely surprised, like most of us were, how Wlad fought on Sat. To be honest, I cant believe that this was the best Wlad could offer. He clearly didnt use his RH, and I think it was most likely on purpose.
Dont want to say that this fight was rigged, but something shady happened. Reading russian boards, seems most people have the same opinion.

Staying on topic, Wlads clinic against Chagaev was better than Vitaliy's best win: Peter. Wlad is definitely more skilled than Vitaliy, proven by his fights against much more technically skilled opponents: Haye, Byrd ,Chambers, Brock, Iggy. Povetkin is in the same category, but Wlad fought a shitty fight.

The only way Vitali wins now is if he turns it into a slugfest. Wlad may hit harder, but Vitali has an iron chin and Wlad does not.

I agree with you about Wlad, but could you give me some examples of Vitali not having an iron chin? Only time I can really think of him rocked is against Sanders. Who else hurt him? I'm not asking that as a know it all, I'm asking because I may need to have my memory refreshed.

LOL @ Klitschko nutthuggers throwing Wlad BACK under the bus. The consensus prior to saturday, even among the majority of Klitschko fans was that Wlad was the superior Klitschko in just about all facets of boxing... from skillset, to resume, to athletic ability (which is actually still true)...

It's almost like we're back in 2004 all over again.

Understandable though... i would be utterly embarrassed to call myself a Wlad fan after a downright disgraceful performance like THAT. In some ways, it was even more embarrassing than getting starched in 2 rounds by a tubby part-time golfer. :rofl

Vitali staggered Lewis in a fight that he had only two weeks to prepare. Lewis hit Vitali with his best punch and Vitali did not even blink his eyes. Vitali retired Lewis, as Lewis had a very badly broken nose, was completely out of gas and would have been knocked out if not for Lewis' referee claiming that Vitali's cut was too bad for one more round, which all it would have taken. Angelo Dundee said that Vitali was cheated out of the WBC title that night. Max admitted that Lewis was done for. Lewis quit, refused a fight that would have made him more money than any fight he had ever had. The point here is that if Lewis could not hurt Vitali, then who could? Since Wilder is ranked #3 without fighting even one ranked fighter, I am hoping that Vitali will go ahead an knock him out before he retires. Then he can fight Stiverne, or retire as he so wishes. I have always liked Vitali better than Vlad. Vitali is a true warrior, six time world kickboxing champion both pro and amateur. Vitali was an international champion, world military champion and would have won the gold medal if not for an injury to his foot from kickboxing. An MD gave him a shot with a steroid in it, not anabolic steroid. Vitali said that his mistake was that he did not get an sports medicine specialist to treat his injury. Many have been disqualified of even using a steriod nose spray prescription drug. Almost everyone has used that at one time or another. I love to watch Vitali fight. I remember when Vitali fought Herbie Hide for the WBO championship in London. Vitali was a 5 to 1 underdog. Vitali knocked out Hide in the second round. I thought Hide was dead! I consider Vitali to be the best heavyweight in the world today and Vlad a close second. By the way, Vlad won the gold medal back in 1996. If Vlad is the worst fighter in the world, then how did he win the gold medal?
