Is Vitali a better fighter than Wlad?

Wlad is the top HW at the moment. He won an ugly fight against a top contender on saturday and should gain respect for this.

And I think we all remember Vitali doing his Akinwande impression at the end of the 6th round, clinging onto Lewis desperately in the attempt to prevent him getting a clean shot before round finished.

 

I've always rated Vitali as the superior fighter, never saw the big deal about Wlad when he was coming up.

Wlad has the athleticism but Vitali is a more complete fighter. He controls range better, he looks to beat his opponent down rather than just coast to victory, despite not having Wlad's power.

Vitali has also has a fighters mentality, which he learned from his loss to Byrd. Wlad didn't learn from his losses gassing again against Brewster, he needed Steward to do his thinking for him and show him what he was doing wrong.

 

its hard to believe so called boxing fans are basing this fantasy match up on the basis of how vitali fights his opponents then thinking he could get away at fighting someone like wlad that way lol

vitali has only fought one person who is boarderline better than his little brother..lewis..and he had trouble with the speed of lennoxs punches...now consider how much faster wladimir is compared to lewis and how much harder he hits...then factor how much stronger wladimir is compared to his brother..the only x-factor is wladimirs punch resistance (ie is it really just a myth or has he hid it that well for this long)i personally think he never had one he had stamina issues and got scared in fights because he didnt know how to fight tired but anyone who thinks vitali walks through wladimir is an idiot..50/50 fight and thats only because of the x-factor with wlads chin...

 

H2h its a no brainer... Vitali is tougher, more ackward, granite chin, better work rate.

Vitali clearly loves to fight and you can see it when hes doing his thing, where for Wlad its more a sport.

Ultimately it would come down to the fact that Vitali can take Wlads best shots and Wlad can not take Vitalis even though he hits a bit harder himself.
Wlad also can not lean down on Vitali either.

His defence is hugging and leaning. That doesn't work on Vitali.
Wlad wasn't good enough to beat Sanders. Vitali put Sanders away.
It wasn't the first time Vitali had to step in and do what Wlad could not.
Vitali would eat Wlad up and spit him out. Everybody knows he's the better of the two.
