Is Vitali "DR IRON FIST" Klitschko the worst nickname in boxing?

    Almost every boxer has a monicker for Michael Buffer to scream to the heavens before a big fight.

    Some of these are good and really suit the fighter (De La Hoya was the Golden Boy, Ezzard Charles was the Cincinnati Cobra, Alexis Arguello was El Flaco Explosivo, Jose Napoles was Mantequilla, Smokin Joe Frazier, Sweet Pea Pernell Whitaker, and on and on and on...)

    but there are some awful ones. I think Vitali "Dr Iron Fist" Klitschko is an especially **** effort. It makes him sound like a gay mutant medic in a pantomime.

    Anyone think of any worse?

    sounds like a soviet bad guy in a gi joe episode.

    and its usually "Dr IronFist Vitali Klitscko"

    DR IRON FIST is a great name, I like Klits but I'm not a huge fan. My favorite might be "Six Heads Lewis"

    Oneil "give em hell" bell...he realized this was awful and changed it to "supernova".

    One of my personal favorites is Adam "swamp donkey" richards.

    How about Owen "hit the deck" Beck.

    One that I will never understand is Joel "El Cepillo" Casamayor...El Cepillo means "the brush"

    Ivan "Iron Boy" Calderon is not really the worst nickname, more a gross mis-representation of a fart-fisted minnow.

    Actually, at first his nickname was Dr. Vitali Klitschko, then it changed to Die Eisenfaust (ironfist), but somehow the media combined the two. Oh well.

    Yeah...he's actually fighting Chazz Witherspoon on the undercard of the Lacy/Taylor card. I wish we could see it because the man can crack!! He is going to put a lickin' on poor Chazz "the gentleman" Witherspoon...wow there's another bad one..."the gentleman"?
