Same ended Buddy McGirt's career. Vitali had over 2.5 hours of surgery after the Byrd fight, he was leading on the scorecards with one arm before he quit. His arm went numb. The haters are blind like the damned Republican Tea Party idiots, they can't comprehend facts!
let me guess..ur some idiot who never does anything involving sport but sits a thinks he has the right to critisize sportsmen about injuries you obviously no nothing about..my guess is your some little tit who runs about with a bottle of cider up one arm and a knife hiding up the other a thinks hes a tuff guy..which is why you say something silly like oh he hurt his shoulder hes a *****..because u cant see yourself quitting lol...grow up..try some sports when u get an injury then ull know why its so hard..
he could of fought somebody better than briggs and safey pin johnosn either than that , I dont he would ducks fighters he wouls smashed end thread
Haye would ice Quitali in 4 rounds maximum thats why he let his brother fight him, he wanted his brother to get knocked out first but Haye ended up being disabled for the fight.
Lots of fighters have won bouts while less than 100%. That was his chance and is likely the only time in his lifetime he will ever have the opportunity to fight for 3 titles.
Vitali also had something like 4 operations during his active career. One shoulder, two knee, one spine/back. If someone accuses Vitali of "ducking" and "running away" then they should explain the surgeries. Why would he actually go under the knife if he was just faking it.
Evander Holyfield?? You must be joking!! Vitali annihilates Holyfield at any point in his career.....
Let me say something to all the idiots who think it's somehow outrageous or immoral to criticise a boxer who quits. Muhammad Ali and Arthur Abraham had their jaws broken in the early rounds of their fights with Norton and Miranda. They could have quit, and we all would have understood them for doing it. But they didn't: they went the distance. Marciano had 2 noses in his rematch with Ezzard Charles. He could have quit in his corner, since blood was literally pouring out of his head. Instead, he went for the KO. When a man like Vitali quits in his corner with 3 rounds to go because one of his two arms is injured, I have the right to point out the difference between him and Arthur Abraham, who only had one jaw and chose to continue. As paying customers, who contribute to Vitali's million-dollar purses, we have the right to point this out. And no, you don't have to be a boxer to state your opinion about boxers. Larry Merchant comes to mind, who by the way said "Vitali doesn't have the mentality of a champion". Any other commentators you might like always question fighters' heart and determination. People can talk. It's called freedom of speech. You don't need to be a boxer to know that a broken jaw is very very bad.
The reason boxing sucks so bad is that so many fans refuse to notice that guys like Sergio Martinez, Vitali Klitschko, and Lucian Bute are well over the age of 30 and have fought almost no top fighters in their divisions. They are either famous because of one fight (Martinez-Williams, Vitali-Lennox), or just because they consistently KO bums in spectacular fashion (Bute). If people stopped paying to watch these fighters, the fighters would have to step up the opposition.
No, don't say that to the Klitschko nuthuggers. You're supposed to say that a fat, 40-year-old Shannon Briggs and journeyman Kevin Johnson were legitimate challengers for Vitali.
We're talking about why Vitali ducked top fighters when he was healthy, not when he was in the hospital. Why didn't he fight David Tua? Why does he still refuse to fight Fast Eddie Chambers? The nickname is key there. Vitali stopped fighting fast opponents after he got exposed by "Fast" Chris Byrd.
The point is, it's all in your imagination. With Vitali, we can only "imagine" that he would have beaten David Tua, Evander Holyfield, Chris Byrd, Eddie Chambers, Ruslan Chagaev, Ray Mercer, Jameel McCline, Shannon Briggs (prime). So keep dreaming. While you're at it, could you "imagine" that I'm the one beating those guys, so I can be the HW champion of the world?
