Actually, Vitali's competition since his comeback has been solid. Briggs and Sosnowski weren't the best of competition and probably not ranked in the top 10 but the rest of his opponents have been fine. Peter, Arreola, Gomez, Johnson, Solis, and now Adamek are/were all top 10(I think) when Vitali beat them. They aren't as good as Wlad's competition and its not a murderer's row but still solid.
Agree with all you wrote, except I'd say he doesn't have the aesthetics of Wlad, rather than athleticism, he simply doesn't look as prettily orthodox (which he isn't), so it doesn't seem as athletic. But I'd go so far as to say he's every bit as athletic as Wlad, if not moreso. His record of world titles as a kickboxer as well as a boxer surely go some way to prove it.
If Vitali fights only bums then are you saying Wlad should be ashame at himself for being ko by Sanders who Vitali easily beat up to a tko win? And what's Sanders a slow fighter? He's clearly a faster fighter that can pop just ask Wlad. So Vitali has face a fast opponent in which he wins easily. I think Vitali would have easily beat Chambers, Dimit. If Vitali fought Bryd in the rematch back in 03 or 04, Vitali would have win very easily in the rematch.
Wlad got KOed 3 times - that's what can happen when you continually face the best opposition out there. Vitali also lost - to the 2 best fighters he fought. But Vitali never fought the other great fighters that Wlad had to fight. Sanders was pretty fast when he fought Wlad, but the Sanders that fought Vitali was a fat, slow version. Look at boxrec for Corrie Sanders and you'll notice his weight went up drastically before the Vitali fight. This is because Corrie was old and wanted to retire. Then Vitali begged him to fight him. It was a show. And Corrie even knocked Vitali down in the first round. You guys keep saying Vitali would have beaten all these great fighters. But it's all in your imagination, because Vitali ducked them.
Stop making me laugh! Toney is a washed-up old man, and Valuev has the biggest size disadvantage in boxing history. Of course Vitali called them out: they're slow! He only fights slow, fat guys!
It's not like Sanders never weigh 235 pound before in his career lol. And vs Vitali he was throwing punches that were fast and Vitali wasn't knockdown. Vitali almost was from being off balance but he wasn't knockdown. Vitali wanted to fight Haye badly but Haye choose Wlad cause he knows Wlad has the weaker chin then his big brother. Wlad himself even admit it that's the reason Haye choose him over Vitali. Haye wasn't afraid of Wlad but with Vitali? Haye is clearly afraid of him. You talk about Wlad has lost the best opposition? Well Vitali has lost to Bryd (by career ending injury) and by Lewis. Lewis is way way way better then all of Wlad opponents that Wlad beat so you can't disagree on that one.
Lennox should have fought both the Klitschko brothers, because they were both top 5 in the division. Instead, Lennox chose one of them. Of course, the slower one. If you think Vitali is better than Wlad, Lennox disagrees with you.
Lewis even said Vitali is better then Wlad. Wlad has the weaker chin in which he scared to get hit flush. When was the last time Wlad been in a slugfest? And who's been in far more wars? Lewis? Or Wlad?
