IS THIS SUPPOSED TO MEAN SOMETHING IMPORTANT?

A top 10 ranking means nuthin without context and means nuthin if the era was weak.

This Doza fella is pretending a top 10 ranking in the naughties has the same value as a top 10 ranking in the 90s and 70s.

Obviously a poor and dishonest argument because in 2014 Bermane Stiverne was ranked #2.
In 1993 Riddick Bowe was ranked #2

When guys like Gomez and Solis are ranked in the top 10 it shows you the era was crap and it the case of Solis he held a top 10 ranking for only a couple of months.

Vitali in box ability was Gerrie Coatze level. There isn't much separating the two skill wise. Guys like Bugner and Tucker were more well rounded than Vitali.
Vitali was committed and trained hard but the skill set is nothing out of the ordinary

I’d think it proves that he was still capable of landing a left hook if given 24 rounds.

Does someone want to tell him that Lewis was 37. Solis was moving just fine before he took a head shot. Jeez yourself. I will agree that Wlad was old at age 39, might you join me?

He was 2,5 months from 38 and overweight.

Solis couldn't ****ing stand on his injured knee so the ref stopped it.

If you could just admit these obvious things you wouldn't be such an absolute joke of a poster, but instead you think it's for some reason a point of pride to never concede anything that's not in your guy's favour.

Solis got dropped for the first time (only time?) in his career by a temple shot. It’s the reason why he tore his knee up.

If that win doesn’t count, neither do Byrd and Lewis’ wins over Vitali.

I don't think anyone counts Byrd's "win" over Vitaly really. Maybe as a loss for Vitaly (who quit), but not as a win for Byrd.

Do you count it as a win for Byrd?

Lewis tore Vitaly's face open with his fist. Totally different thing than Solis's knee giving way and rupturing so bad that he couldn't stand on that leg.

If it was kick-boxing and the result of a leg kick, yes, but it wasn't. Vitaly punched his head, but it was his knee that was damaged.

"Solis did not appear hurt from the punch, but he stepped back and lost his footing. He went down, and it was quickly clear that Solis was in trouble -- but not because of his head. He had a problem with his right knee and was unsteady as he struggled to get to his feet by pulling himself up as he grabbed on to the ropes. As Solis struggled to move on the bad knee, referee Guadalupe Garcia called off the fight as the opening round was coming to a close.

A scan revealed tears to Solis' anterior cruciate ligament and external meniscus, as well as cartilage damage in his right knee."

Had there been on TKO6 but a win over Lewis I'd say top ten. However, Vitali didn't beat the best guy he faced so
top 15 is fine with me.

He's actually doing a btter job are being a warrior and gaining respect while acting as Kiev Mayor these days.

His equilibrium was screwed up from the punch, so he wrecked his knee. It is what it is. Definitely a plus and not a neutral for Vitali’s resume, although he may have been robbed of a career defining win on that night.
