I'm not angry at all, I enjoy this. Sad isn't it ? :rofl

Longcount said something stupid, a bunch of you avoided the real question & I held my own. In the end it was determined that LOngcount was touching himself and most of you admitted it. A job well done I'd say.

Not true. Just earlier I was talking about how I'd come to like Vitali and it's a shame he had the injuries and a brother insistant on being a simultaneous champ.

Tyson would get a high ranking based on that fact alone but I didn't say that was the only reason for his high ranking. Same with Forman. I'd say Big George's second career helped move him up in the all time rankings wouldn't you?

Can I just clarify one thing; are you a Vitali or a Wlad man? I always remembered you to be a Wladimir fan but it seems you've switched. Who do you consider the greater of the two?

It's tough to answer this many posters simultaneously. I think I do just fine thanks.

Foreman won back the true heavyweight championship from Moorer. Tyson won an alphabet from Berbick and Vitali won one from Peter. Not comparable achievements as Berbick and Peter were both average titleholders.

You said it would be reason enough to get a spot around the top 10.

I know, but it amused me and helped me kill some time over my morning coffee. Now I get to do my wife's brakes on her truck............yippeee!

Legacy wise I gotta go with Wlad based on resumé & length of title reign. Ironically I give him extra points for the losses & the comeback he had.

Head to head is a much tougher call & a good argument could be made either way. Slight edge to Vitali for chin & agressiveness but you can't count out the one shot power & awesome jab of Wladimir :nono

I'd agree with that except that doesn't write off Tyson's or Vitali's achievements does it? any sensible ranking would put George in the top 5-10 after his second run. Before that he was a couple of spots lower IMO.

True Championship no doubt, but it was against Michael Moorer mind you, a decent but not amazing fighter and big George was being shut out up to that point.

Fair enough. Let's hope we get a bit of a fight tonight. Do you think Kevin will, at least, put on a good show?:bbb

Joe Louis reigned the longest if I'm not mistaken & that reason alone would put him in the top 10 right? Again, not the only reason but def. significant.

BTW, you're nit picking and you know it too.................

I would expect Johnson's speed & jab to cause some early frustration for VK but he adjusts well on the fly. Gomez had some early success so why not Kevin? Still, Vitali finds a way and even if he drops a round or two I think he gets taken out eventually. It's no small feat to win a round against Vitali..............

No, you're right. They were both very good achievements. Tyson won a portion of the title against a decent heavy at an age when most are getting drunk at college. Vitali also beat a decent opponent after a long lay off and barely lost a second of the fight.

Wow. Nearly 24 hour later & no one there to support you. Sucks doesn't it?

If Tyson wasn't the youngest HW Champion ever I think he'd be outside the top 10 Greatest Heavys of all time. Maybe 13th or so. He'd still be an ATG but he ranks within the top 10 because he was the youngest Champion. More like 9th or 10th.
