I saw an interview with him a while back where Vitali said he would be ready to step in if either Maskaev or Peter pulled out on March 8th. I assume he is still planning on fighting the winner of that fight? Even a 75% Vitali beats Peter or Maskaev.

I think he does want to. But whether he is fit for it is another matter.

He will fight them, if all goes as expected, in mid 2008.

That will be almost 18 months after he announced his "comeback". :rofl :rofl

I am come from germany and we have like every new info about him, because Vitaly and his brother are often in german tv shown, hey are both very popular out here and as I know, he wants too come back and fight the winner of maskaev-peter by the end of the year. still I don't think it will happen, because a bad back is a bad back, there is not much too do.

Why is it so quiet at the moment from Vitali?

I mean, surely he's not just literally sitting on his ass twiddling his thumbs waiting for Maskaev-Peter to finish. Has he been back in the gym much? Any light training drills? Any comments or plans?

Seriously, what is he doing at the moment?

It doesn't matter who wins, he'd beat the **** out of both of them. He'd knock Scam Cheater out in 4 rounds without question.

Vitali's knockout percentage is one of the best EVER.

The simple fact is that Vitaliy just cannot make it through a training camp without getting injured. He should just concentrate on his political career...

I think that VK has to come to the realization that he can't put his body through the tough camp he's used to...If he wants to fight again he needs to run a modified camp with lower impact regiments and just rely on his skills and toughness...

Vitali is done as a fighter, he should be happy sitting in Wlads corner watching him destroy the weak competition. Vitali hasnt stepped in the ring since November of 04, since then he has ****ed boxing fans and his oppenents around for the last 3 years, it's time to give it up.

Helping his brother become undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. If he could lend Wladimir his chin and durability we'd have one of the best heavyweights ever!

Soloman Haumono has a 100% KO percentage. You can prove or disprove anything with stats. They are meaningless without also considering the quality of the opponents.

Haumono's a nobody because his KOs are against other nobodies. Similar to the nobodies Vitali spent most of his career building up his stats against. He stepped up to the elite twice, and lost twice. Whatever the circumstances, he couldn't find a way to win.

The bottom line is that the myth of Vitali Klitschko is all based on what people think he could have done rather than what he actually did.

I personally think he would have unified and become undisputed champ if he had fought Ruiz & Byrd instead of Sanders & Williams. But as his losses proved, the reality doesn't always match the predictions. And you can't rate a fighter on mythical matches that never happened and a handful of random stats.
