If a fighter gives up and refuses to fight on then he has lost, well and truly, by his own admission. Holyfield stuck out 11 rounds against the same fighter with the same injury so what's Vitali's excuse for failing to stick out three rounds in a fight where he had a large lead on the cards?

And the cuts suffered against Lewis were caused by punches, and were bad enough that they fully justified the stoppage. It was a perfectly legitimate loss even if it was not a decisive one.

 

Some of you guys forget that he has achieved so much in amatures and kickboxing too! When combined his achievements are truely outstanding and you can't simply compare Vitali to anyone else...he is in a class of his own. I would pick Vitali over his brother any day any time.
