Well hed beat him H2H key is to make wlad fight, which he cant do as he hasnt got the chin and panicks when he gets at all wobbled I cant believe that anyone thinks Vitali isnt good enough to do this say 8 times out of 10
:goodSpot on. The only reason Vitali hasn't cleaned up is out of principal. Deep down, Wlad must know he isn't the best in the division.
That prety much says it all right there. When asked this question I think the answer is very obvious... YES! Vitali is superior. Wlad has better talent in certain areas, but all that talent does not equal to a better fighter than his big bro Vitali.
I think most people agree that Wlad is the better specimen and has the better skills, however Vitali has certain intangibles such as chin, tenacity and reflexes.
Basically I think Wlad is a better boxer than Vitali, but Vitali is a better fighter. And I think the Vitali that went life and death with Lewis beats any version of Wlad. And there's absolutely no way Wlad could have taken those Lewis uppercuts, the way Vitali did.
If we are judging resumes then Vlad is superior. As fighters, Vitali is a much tougher nut to crack. He would walk all over Vlad in a head to head fight. He is also held in much higher regard all time because he would give most huge punchers hell while most fans see the ATG punchers sending Vlad to an early grave! In the end, most will likely view Vitali as the better fighter with a less impressive resume.
Vitali has something Wlad will never have and thats decent movement. Being tall and awkward with his movement is a huge advantage over Wlad. He will always be able to get himself out of rougher situations compared to Wlad who freezes like a deer in headlights.
Vitali's speed and timing are not what they used to be. The thing is he is still KOing these guys and I would pick him over any heavy in the division other than Wlad and even that due to intangibles it would be very close. But right now finally I would say Wlad is a better fighter than the current Vitali, Wlad looked his best ever last fight. However I would pick the Vitali from 2004 to beat the Wlad of 2009.
Of course Vitali's superior to Wlad. Vitali only loses when his arm almost falls off, or the fight's prematurely stopped due to cuts.
