Maybe it's me but I thought the once or twice that Adamek caught him flush, he hurt VK a bit.
I'm probably losing it a bit!

well because when someone actually connects he looks slightly off balance. i dont think he likess fightin on the back foot, and he has never needed to, adamek was slipping outside the jab, not inside the guard of vitali so he couldnt get inside and do damage.
too big and scary for these fighters.

Funny but in the 1st rd when he hit Adamek I saw Tomas do a funny leg wiggle and It was from a right to the head I thought another Solis KO, it was an odd shot but it made Adameks ankle wiggle and knee wobble. I was thinking could it be Vitali's odd shots from such a high position cause knees and ankles to quiver.

I am impressed with Vitali's conditioning and control and I have never seen him in a losing fight other than an injury that was a fight changer but a unfortunate one

I thought that Vitali did well for his age, but I keep thinking he could have put away Ademek sooner. There were a few times it felt like he had Ademek (mainly in the 1st, 2nd, and 6th) and could have finished, but failed to do so every time.

    Ohhhhh yeah. :yep

He didn't fail to do so, because he didn't try to do so. It's not who he is. This is Vitali. :conf He beats you up until you can't go anymore. He doesn't worry about knocking you down or letting you recover when you're wobbled. He just counts on the damage to end it eventually.

I don't know if I would give him the crown just yet, Holmes did this at 42!

The man is in incredible physical condition though and has a few more years left in him if he decides to continue.

much of the Klitchko success has to do with size and a weak era in boxing. They should be superheavyweights.

I would say yes, can't see any other former heavyweight champ at 40 beating him, that includes Big George.

It would not matter because most of the top heavyweights would still come into the ring carrying more weight than the Klitschko brothers even though they should be 30 pounds lighter. Vitali weighed in at 243 pounds for this fight, the lowest in over 10 years, and physically has probably never looked better. He has slowed down though, in reflexes and footwork, and never actively goes for a KO.

For a while it seemed this may have back-fired on him when he let Adamek hang around, tripped down to the canvas and in worse circumstances may have injured himself.

For a split second I thought that he could have been injured when he fell. Then he continued to wear down Ademek.

He did have some good combos in addition to his 1-2 punches.

Me too, Bris. I slapped my forehead and thought 'Not again!'. Although, considering the Solis fight, it would be on that thin line between depressing and some brand of dark humour.

    I...ejaculated, ever so slightly.

As much **** as I've given Poles and other extreme nut-huggers over the last week/month for giving Adamek a chance, there was a part of me secretly wishing that he'd somehow win it by hook or by crook. (be it even a robbery or injury TKO)
