We all know that for this fight to be a possibility, Vitali has to go ahead with the Peter fight, and beat him. (very likely), and Valuev has to also beat Chagaev in the rematch (also very likely)........

But if both of these variables are met, are they considering putting these two giant dudes in a second unification fight? Has anyone read any credible articles or interviews stating that this is being considered, or is it merely speculation?

I originally thought with King still controlling Valuev, that this fight would not really be doable, but now that Vitali is already trying to deal with King for his upcoming Peter fight, I think they may have this possible Valuev fight contingency already added to their Peter/Vitali fight contract. Sounds theasible to me.

Not only would it be a great fight, it'd also be two more of the titles being brought together, further sweeping up the mess that is the title scene in the heavyweight division.

Any articles or interviews stating anything on this possibility?

What makes you think Valuev will win his rematch with Chagaev?

We don't know if Valuev will win his rematch with Ruslan. It is not very likely.

It would be great if Vitali beats Peter and then also wins the WBA belt: two brothers holding the four belts.

He certainly did. Valuev's long, piston-like jab will be too much for Chagaev, this time.

If Valuev wins, (and Vitali wins) I think that Vitali -Valuev will be the obvious next fight for both fighters. At least, it would seem to be. They are trying to finally get the titles brought together, and Vitali probably won't fight too many fights past the Peter fight.

I thought someone had posted that they had read something on this fight.

Nobody is talking about Vitali-Valuev. The only reason Vitali is even in the title picture is because of his emeritus status with the WBC. This means that Sam Peter is his only title shot for now.

As for Valuev's chances against Chagaev, I think we're talking about a 50/50 here. It could go either way. Remember that there was very little to choose between these two in the first bout.

that was the original plan for the Vitali comeback. For Vitali to hold the WBC & WBA Wlad the IBF & WBO. I do not think that is the case now though. I remember reading an article where Vitali said they want all Heavyweight Belts in the Klitschko family.
