Is Vitali's destruction of Hide better than his brothers points win over Haye?

Obviously these "people" hadn't seen him fight.:patsch
Wasn't fast enough to prevent that stabbing at his gaff either.

Vitali's destruction of Hide with his arm pit was a great win yeah. :nut

Hide was fast and could bang a bit no doubt but at the end of the day he was a bully. Not once in his career did he prove he could take incoming punches.

A fresher Hide was stopped by Bowe without hardly taking a punch that night either. If he couldn't hurt you he crumbled, simple. Although admittedly an undefeated Herbie gave it a better go against Bowe.

Wlad and especially Haye were dissapointing last year in Hamburg, but the Haye win is better imo. I'm not a fan of Haye but he is simply a better fighter than Hide, whether his resume at HW is inferior or not.

...and when was Hide touted as the next Tyson?

Barry Hearn embarrassingly claimed he was the next Ali after he beat Bentt, which was bad, but no comparisons to Tyson were thankfully ever made.

Haye for all his flaws is nowhere near as vulnerable as Hide, and defensively much more astute.

Hide has some decent wins at heavyweight, but these are balanced by some embarassing losses (Chingangu and to a lesser extent Kulikauskas). Any heavyweight who could give it back to Hide had a very good chance of winning, as he was a pure frontunner who was mentally weak with an alarming inability to withstand punishment.

Wlad's win over Haye is much more significant.

    :dealSpot on.

Not to mention it was a unification fight as opposed to just for the then lightly regarded WBO belt.
