Vitali is H2H GOAT. He is underrated mostly because injuries cost him a perfect record and sidelined him for a few years in his prime.

No, just no. Even current old ass, deteriorating Vitali would give Wlad his toughest fight in 8 years.

He wouldn't even rematch Byrd after promising his fans. Vittles was allways destined to be second best in his family. He's never had the same dedication or skills as Wlad and he'll always be remembered for losing more than he will for any of his wins.

 

Lets not make things up now. Injuries didn't cost him a perfect record, quitting to Byrd and getting beat up by Lewis did. After that its just been one tomato can after another to build his record. He's todays version of LaMar Clark.

 

Byrd ain't **** for Vitali and never was.

He was beating Byrd comfortably before he suffered the shoulder injury.

Only a dumbass would think Vitali was scared of a featherfisted midget he was beating in the past, in a fight he lost due to unexpected circumstances only, circumstances that wouldn't repeat a 2nd time

Oh and that old fat Lewis would have ended Wlad's career

 

He was beating Byrd on the cards but the rounds were close. And if Byrd wasn't **** than why didn't he just keep his word to his fans (you know, the ones cheering for Byrd) and rematch him? The facts are Byrd was backing him up and making him miss the entire fight. The injury wasn't mentioned till the 7th or 8th round so you can get off that tip before you even get started.

I would also pick Lewis to beat Wlad, though not necasserily the fat old version. Lewis was a far better fighter than Vittles overall, just like Wlad is.

 

Well not from me , till he stop boxing i have him as a huge favorite agains't anyone! (if he stop before 42 )

Gotta disagree with the idea that Vitali fought the best available competition.

He has Obed Sullivan, Danny Williams, Sosnowsky, Chisora, Charr on his record instead of worthy names that where within reach like M. Moorer, O. McCall, Tua, Rahman, Valuev and Haye.

 

Vitali has a trash resume and was nearly blinded by the only ATG he ever fought

His biggest win is a golfer from S Africa who was never even fully committed to the sport

Had Vitali never QUIT against Byrd, and been wrongly treated for his back trouble, he'd have a MUCH better resume, and likely have Toney, Rahman, Ruiz, Holyfield, and Valuev on his resume. All by KO of course.

Add Haye to that, and if that don't make him a top 10 ATG, I don't know what does.

But, as it stands, we can only rank him 10-20 or just outside those positions. Unlike Wlad, he's lacking 4-8 big fights in his prime, and he's got MAYBE another 2 in him if he decides to fight on.

I sure wish Mitchell woulda won that fight last w/e. He and Haye might have cemented Vitali inside the top 10 for me.:think

 

Vits might rank 25th for me. Had he chosen to fight through his injuries he most likely takes a few losses from the list you provided. The fact remains though that his resume is very thin and prevents him from being considered with the elite of all time.
