Because by making his opponent bad they are discrediting Wlad who hardly can be criticized himself, that's what the haters want, begrudge Wlad's legacy, and they do it for years. Nothing new here.
Who is Wach, never seen him in my life before i checked out the head to head a couple days ago Yup, this unknown big piece of cannon fodder is certainly a bigger threat than Haye (the #2 HW in the World)
He isn't. No chance. He has size......and........he's beaten......um...........oh, wait, he looked quick against.........uh..........oh, and that ring savvy he showed against.........um........... People need to remember their reaction when this fight was announced. Nobody is sensibly picking Wach to win here yet most gave Haye a very good chance of beating Klitschko.
that just show you are really not even a boxing fan ....if you were you would see a top 20 HW boxer with 27-0 record, his KO over Mcbride was highlighted pretty heavily ... so if you never seen him in your live then why are you bothering to post in such thread ... go back to your nintendo.
I think he has a point. No one's disputing that Wlad totally outclassed him, but Haye wasn't physically and mentally dominated like a lot of Wlad's past opponents. He still retained that edge to him that meant that he could explode at any moment with dangerous intent. Wlad had to be on his guard at all times, which was reflected in his body movements. Compare that to his fights against Tony Thompson 1, or the Peter rematch for instance, and it's night and day. Both men were physically and mentally beaten down throughout the course of the fight which meant that by the later rounds they posed almost no real threat at all.
Some might do that. But Wach is really a very unimpressive looking individual with a very slim body of wins against even more unimpressive competition. To say that he's a worthy title challenger is stretching it pretty thin, by any standards. I personally rate the versions that Wlad fought of Byrd, Haye, Chagaev, Ibragimov and Chambers very highly. But a crap opponent is a crap opponent. There's nothing legacy building here. At most, Wach will remain a footnote as one of the few (only?) opponents that had a sizeable height advantage over the champ. He's certainly not going to go down as anything more. Course, I'm predicting that Wach gets blown out with ease. Gonna look a right mug if he doesn't (or if he wins!).
I think Wach gets knocked out early 2-5 rounds. I remember Thomas Hearns fighting guys his height and always doing better. Somehow people thought fighting guys his height would be harder. James Shuler was 6-1 1/2 also and Tommy landed easily. I think the same will apply with Klitchko and Wach. Hearns fought Hill and Hill had to stay in front of him, he cannot bend down and be aggressive and work the body. No one would beat Hearns on the outside of his jab even Virgil Hill. and same applies to Vlad. But Vlad has to land his jab early often and drop the right in. The guy can punch a little, so he has to land early and he can and will win by early knockout. So my prediction is I think Klitchko lands early and knocks him out. It could go to 4 or 5 rounds, but I think he wins no problem. Easy fight. I don't see Wach being in the same class as Vlad.
It is hard to imagine that someone would fight as scared as Gaye against Wladimir. So the answer is yes. Wach is a bigger thread than Gaye. It doesn't mean he is a better fighter. He is just so scared as Gaye was. Gaye is strong at speaking but in the ring he was on his bike all night long.
I don't think Haye was scared of Wlad, he was just incredibly wary of getting clipped by something big. Had he been scared, that would have affected his energy levels and mentally worn him out. As we saw in the twelfth round, that wasn't the case. Wach presents a different set of problems for Wlad, but he's just such a physically and technically inferior fighter in every way, that I can't see those problems making him much, if any, of a legitimate threat to Wlad, in the way that Haye was.
I do think that Haye is a bigger threat than Wach I am not stupid, and there are better contenders who unfortunately do not step up because they fear both Klitschkos, however it is not fair to say that Wach has no chance, he is undefeated and is maybe in the best shape of his career. Also it is not fair to Wlad, how many contenders really have a great chance of winning against him at the moment? Maybe I am wrong about Wach being at least a bit competitive, we will know it today night.
