    He makes his first defence against Ruiz
    2nd defence was Mendoza
    Then gets a disputed decision against a near 40 year old G Johnson

    You're right, Ray and Vitali did do that. And they deserve a lot of credit.

    According to recent reports, Ward's signed a three year deal with HBO, that's going to consist of two tune ups, then a clash with Kovalev this time next year.

    Dawson not having had a pedigree at SMW, is completely irrelevant to the points I've made.

    Beatle said that Ward ducked Bute and he won't fight anyone with speed and skills.

    At the time Ward fought Dawson, Dawson was rated higher than Bute as he was more proven at the top level.

    You're entitled to your opinion, but ducking Bute to fight Dawson, made ZERO sense.

    I truly believe that had Froch not destroyed Bute, Ward would have gone on to have fought him at some point.

    Who had Bute fought?

    Bute's resume was nowhere near as strong as Dawson's.

    Dawson was the more proven fighter.

    I can remember many people favouring him over Froch (I was one of them) but not being 100% confident, due to not really knowing if he was an elite level guy, due to the opposition he'd fought. He was highly regarded, but there were definitely question marks surrounding him.

    This is you using what you call black and white stats, but how you can name one fighter the same as another is beyond comprehension.
    You are saying because fighter "a" is of similar height or build to fighter "b" that it makes no sense to believe that one is no less troublesome for the opponent.
    Dawson wasnt blasting many people out and having to drop weight as well as having been exposed.

    Degale is actually a very good and resilient boxer. I give huge props to Bute taking this fight.

    Ward.... He's so sick and slick but he's a coward in my eyes. He just doesn't make it happen. He doesn't give what the fans want, he's wasting time, he's straight weird.
