Is Ward gunna beat Kovalev?

Said it for ages now. Ward beats him and knocks him down atleast once. Mark my words

 

Both are legitimate modern day greats and it is going to be a good fight.

However I think Kovalev stops Ward around rounds 8-10.

 

Pick em fight to be honest. I'll give a prediction when the fight gets closer.

 

i'm not sure what it is about this match up but never have i found a fight harder to call than this.

I'm a big Ward fan and have the utmost respect for Kovalev, I think Ward has not been in the ring enough/consistently to be favored. I'd like to be wrong but I think Kovalev beats him by decision....

 

I'm a huge Krusher Fan, and I hope he catches him, but my instinct tells me that Kovalev is a little to off balance and uncoordinated to deal with Wards core strength, mobility, and perfect balance.

I see Ward being able to win this on athleticism and timing, and I think he might win big on the cards. I think GGG would be a tougher fight for Ward.

 

Good post. A lot of people underestimate how strong Ward is. If Ward looks sharper in his next fight then he is the favorite in my opinion.

 

Very close fight. If Kovalev can keep Ward from tying him up and making it dirty, he should have a great shot. He has excellent boxing skills and terrific power in both hands. Ward should have enough pop to stun or even hurt him, but it remains to be seen how aggressive he plans to be in there. I'm not a big Ward fan (his style bores the hell out of me usually), but there is no denying the mans talent. Can't wait either way!

I remember about 3 months ago before the fight was signed, 90% of this forum was sure that Kovalev would stop Ward.

Ward suffers from Mayweatherism. The peculiar case of the fans picking a beast for you and when you step up to fight him, he is no longer as ferocious as he looked before.

Ward will win by UD.

 

In this case, the beast is every bit as scary as it looks :hey Kovalev is on another level to the rest of the guys Ward fought, and he's going to find out in a hurry.

 

Spot on .I can see kovalev eating a lot of leather as he goes after ward .ward hits harder than people think .kov will have to attack ward and will take punch's as he go's forward.
