Kessler was good. Very good. He even looked pretty good against Calzaghe in the early rounds.

Mosley is unquestionably greater than Ward right now.
tinman, you say Mosley fought nobody at 135 and that he's overrated..this is farfetched given you're a Pacquiao fan.
Pac fought 'nobody' at 122, he went on to beat some brilliant names, like Mosley did. We can extrapolate and come to the conclusion that Mosley at 135 was thus truly brilliant, just like we say Pac at 122 was also truly brilliant. Furthermore, Mosley DID beat some good names at 135.

The win by Mosley against a prime Oscar 1 is one of the very best wins in the modern era. Kovalev is certainly not DLH level.

I'd also like to add that the Whitaker that DLH fought was no more past prime than a Mayweather of 2013-2014.
Can you imagine how great people will think Canelo is if he were to have a completely even fight vs Floyd Mayweather at 154 let alone at Mayweather's weight of 147? Yet DLH to this day gets such little credit and has been underrated.

Kessler was elite but was 2-3 levels below Mosley and DLH.
Prime DLH is someone I'd favour over prime Floyd lol and you're talking about Kessler.

DLH is top 50. Mosley is sitting outside the top 100. Ward cracks the top 100 IMO.

Trinidad doesn't crack the top 100, but H2H he was brutal to handle.

What do you guys think about Mosley low points of his career? The Forrest fight was a total blow up. And Winky schooled him.

I'm not the type of fan who rips a fighter for losses because that's what happens when you fight the best. But Mosley has had a couple fights where he looked bad. Like real bad.

Which ATG boxers do you hold to be in the same tier as Ward?

Styles make fights. Classic example. Just like Castillo a borderline HOF'er beating a TBE level fighter in Mayweather. Vernon Forrest is an exceptional fighter who flies under the radar because of his losses to Mayorga (styles make fights).

Either way, yes they are two losses and Vernon deserves full credit and it is a black mark on Mosley's resume. Winky Wright was just too big and an elite himself but yes, still a loss.

The losses beyond that I don't care too much about. He was DLH level a few years before...and then went two echelons lower and lost a close fight to Cotto. That emphasises how he was falling as a fighter. May and Pac's victories were just money grabbers.
