First off let me say credit to both men, both took a massively gamble and stepped into a legacy defining fight in era where we barely see one a year.

With that being said I thought HBO's commentary especially Lampley was so biased they need to fire this man because he is the one who's commentary has coloured everyone's opinion into thinking this was a robbery.

This is was not a robbery I had it a draw if I had to pick I would have leaned to Kovalev as he's a champion but I gave Kovalev a swing round which could have just as well gone to Ward. I think 114-113 for either man is a great score for what the fight was, a really tight match. Robbery is the Perez fight before this or the Tislenchko fight in the olympics.

With all that being said Kovalev deserves that rematch immediately, it was such a tight match he came out so fast and dominated and this is where credit has to go to Ward for regaining a foothold in the fight and clawing back rounds to pinch the victory.

People wanna say Mayweather or Pac but for me Ward is the greatest fighter of this generation eventhough it was a tight fight which he arguably may have lost to take on a monster like Kovalev in his prime move up in weight to meet one of the most dominant light heavy weights in years is spectular. Credit to Kovalev the guy is a spectular boxer, one of the strongest jab in the game, simple but effective footwork, showed he is powerful on the inside and is way more intelligent than given credit for.

Has Ward become an ATG? For me this win puts him in the mix combined with his previous accomplishments.
