Bradley arguably has been doing the same thing, his fan base still sucks. There a reason why people like hopkins never made great money. You need something extra to carry the sport. Ward hasn't found that yet.

I mean I hear you, but it has to be something why not online advertisement its cheaper YouTube preroll? on specific videos just a thought. I like what TMT did with Chavez Jr. by putting him on the drinks something similar to ward its just sad to see an athlete so talented go unoticed due to his current sport.

Ward needs to sell himself better. Guys like Broner and May do it and it works. Or maybe the promoters need to do a better job promoting him. If he fought more on HBO, I'm sure he would get more hype.

Broner could be, but I'm not sure yet of his talent. He really hasn't faced any top level comp yet. If he can get some better names under his belt, he could be a top name in the sport.

    **** no. :patsch

Ward is lightyears ahead of that ****** ass ***** when it comes to skills and talent.

not too mention Ward's resume PISSES all over Broners **** poor resume. Plus, Ward has never needed gift decisions against B level fighters one weight division below.

He performed very well when all the media was watching and looking for greatness.

He is going to become great.

And he isn't a douchebag like Mayweather(acts) so probably won't generate the same money but hey the Klitschkos are nice guys and they generate ALOT.

He already beat all his competition.
Unless he moves up & attempts a Roy Jones what's left??
(To try & make money on)

The talent is there. You have to have a personality to be the face of boxing. Or at least ride on the coattails of someone else personality (manny riding on Floyds). Ward is a great fighter but he doesn't evoke emotion in the fans. Broner has people that will love him or hate him.

He needs an edge. He has a strong following in Oakland. But he needs a little more than Oakland. Like when Pac or Hatton fight their entire country is watching because it becomes a national event. Or he just needs to be a bad guy and get arrested a few times and get some pics taken in clubs with some models talk smack on twitter star in a rap video. that should do the trick. Unfortunatetley thats what the average fan feeds off nowadays. Being a good boxer doesnt cut it nowadays

When I look at Mayweather, Pacquiao and Martinez, I find myself thinking all are closer to the end of their careers than many are willing to admit. And even Donaire, who sits in a very good division, as a champ with two titles, I've taken a hard look at him, undefeated for a decade, up four weight classes, and I think since not everyone is a Pacweather, maybe he's actually already fading, even though he's supposed to be the next generation. People forget how long he's really been around, considering the weight classes. That leaves, who, JMM, at nearly 40?

Then there's Ward. He's been showcased and ass-kissed on both major pay channels with big boxing programs, beating top names for three years, not close to losing, putting on boxing clinics, not just winning, but dominating, 28-years-old, has two of the four major titles, and has clearly outclassed both fighters who each hold one of the other two. Okay, he's not a trash-talker or a killer, but if you can't find a way to market the guy, then you can't market the guy who's in line to be the p4p best in the sport, it looks like, to me.

And that would be one hell of an indictment on the sport, if arguably its best can't be the face, because we don't know how to market a straight-laced non-puncher. That's how limited the imagination of boxing promotion is now? Doesn't knock people out, doesn't talk ****, we just don't know what to say about him. :patsch Let's hope not.

I'm afraid in this day and age both go hand in hand. If your the face of boxing you are the guy that will be bring casual fans back into the sport, taking interest in boxing once again.

You can't be the face of boxing and draw 5,000 crowds and generate 199k ppv buys.
