I think it was disappointing for boxing that Ward-Dawson was made at 168.
Traditionally a champion in one class moves up to challenge the champion above him in the higher weight class. When the larger champion shrinks down to challenge the small guy, the status of the fight is reduced too. It becomes a lot less meaningful.
And then if the 'shrunken big guy' loses to the champ beneath him at the lower weight, what has really been achieved ?
