Kessler is one demensional and ward is the type of boxer to defeat that just like calzaghe did. Just like bernard beat up tarver, trinadad and pavlik who were one demensional 1-2 stalkers. Either way, kesler is gonna KO froch. Ward is gonna have a tough fight with Taylor who is more acustom to american styles, And Dirrel vs abraham is gonna be a tough fight to call depending on how dirrel chooses to fight.

As for the tactics ward used. If he didn't cheat, he still would have beat his ass and that was just plain to see. Kessler had nothing for him and became scared to pull the trigger even when he had ward in the corner. I hope dirrell learns from this. If the guy is slow and limited then bring it to him. If dirrel faught like that then he would have stopped that bumb froch. Ward definately took BHOP 101 on how to dismantle a one demensional stalker. Coming in with a right hand then headbutt to make your opponent step back. Dirty and he didn't need to do that really to kessler but he still would have whipped him the same.

Ward is that good, I'd say, but Kessler was also a bit overrated all along, I think.

It takes a versatile fighter to beat Kessler, though. His simple 1-2 style is very effective against most fighters.

This was my take on it before the fight (Nov 20, 2009)

The final paragraph best reflects my summary:

Personally, I think Kessler is a bit overrated in terms of skills. I also believe Andre Ward has the potential to be something special. Mentally and physically, he has all the makings of a future star. I believe that Ward, being the slicker and more fluid of the two, will be able to box his way to victory. Kessler has nice power and good experience, but I think Ward is a more versatile fighter who will be able to exploit the basic one-two that Kessler is so reliant on. Although Ward and Calzaghe have vastly different fighting styles, Ward’s superior athleticism and ring intelligence should enable him to confuse Kessler much in the same way Calzaghe did. If Ward stays alert and avoids Kessler’s big right he should be able to disrupt his rhythm and frustrate him. A lot of people are expecting Kessler to beat Ward and they are in for big surprise.

Andre Ward is a special talent. Anyone who can't see that just isn't looking.

I vote both also. Ward is more than "that good".

And Kwitssler is an overrated robot. Fortunately, for him, he has a whole country suporting him(he's all they have). And there's a market for him fighting other slow, robotic, bums.

The same people that say Kessler is overrated is the same people saying that Andre Ward is a top p4p'er.

    Funny stuff.
