Can't get Golovkin's nuts outta your mouth, can you? You bring him up in threads that don't even mention him.
of course im the bad guy here though....even though people here are slamming ward in a thread about ward....slamming him for inactivity...so I posed a question asking whether or not youd be ok with ward having been active the last 3 years if he fought low level comp the entire time....and im the "bad guy who just has to talk about ggg".....
ycgs....I posed a question after someone slammed ward for his inactivity..i posed a legit question and asked if he were active and fought comp similar to what ggg has faced would you be ok with it and not slam him for it? of course all of you would have slammed him because you will either way.....I just posed a legit a question
Ward schools Kovalev. He will do a Mayweather special and have a rehydration clause. Anything over 175 means Kovalev loses money. I think in this fight it would be fair to have this clause in place, as we all know Kovalev is not far of Cruiserweight on fight night.
ward is going to decision kova comfortably enough....and its going to hurt a lot of peoples feelings blundell
I believe had Ward been active, it would be a 50/50 fight between him and Kovalev. A non active Ward has to be a decided underdog vs. Kovalev (I'm a Ward fan). Kovalev I think wrecks Stevenson, however Stevenson is a mobile athletic guy with legit power, there's always the potential for an upset. I feel the same way should Ward fight Stevenson. Actually a pretty interesting round robin at the top of the LHW division.
Why is that fair? Why does Ward have this almost special status? Ward fights at 172 but isn't a LHW yet and now Ward should have rehydration clauses because another LHW comes in over the LHW limit like nearly every fighter does at their own weight. If Ward wants to fight at LHW then he makes weight and fights, he isn't a special case.
Resumes don't get in the ring, dummy. All those names on Ward's resume aren't going to help him in a fight. They don't make his chin any stronger
Bub...you are the dummy sir I simply replied to a statement made by another poster about wards resume only being a result of a tournament...which ward entered without being threatned with death....and knew the participants entering.....so people can stop acting like ward just got "lucky" adding some quality names to his resume....to insinuate that would be beyond foolish like I said...if ward had been active over the last 3 years and fought the level of comp that ggg did you would all kill him for it too....hes damned either way
No, we wouldn't. Fighting 3 or 4 Times a year against contenders would end most of the criticism he gets now. But fighting one can in the last 3 years is not much of an alternative.
If Stevenson and Ward ever get the ***** to step in the ring with The Krusher, they both get sparked in my opinion.
@mongoose...im sorry..i disagree...maybe some would be ok with it...but id bet the majority wouldn't be ok with it.... and lets be real....ward didn't fight because he didn't want to fight....he had an issue...if he could have collected 2 mil a pop to fight "contenders" for 3 years im sure he gladly would have
