Is ward too big.....or too skilled for sergio ???

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by freddy-wak, Sep 27, 2012.

  1. The ward fans really are pathetic when it comes to this, you KNOW Martinez is undersized at 160, but you also know son of John Ruiz is boring as watching paint dry even if he is "slick and black" so he needs an entertaining fighter to be the A side so he can earn some money

Hell what about Ward vs Pac?

If these fights are fine I've got an idea, since the size difference is the same why not Ward vs David Haye?

Haye is only 215 in the ring let's see if his "slickness" will get him through that one

Both Martinez has no chance against Ward.

It doesn't matter. Sergio is going to follow the money and fight Chavez. Chavez brings the most money, more money than Ward, and even if Martinez wins every round, Chavez proved that it's still a 50/50 fight.

I don't blame Sergio for calling out Mayweather at 154 though. Mayweather is an easier fight than Chavez, he's the number 1 guy at the weight, and he brings in the most money.

    It's a no brainer.

If Maravilla is recovered 100% I think he'd want to try and unify first, but him and Jr look like they want to tango one more time! Then maybe a catchweight with Ward. Helluva fight if it happens. GGG that dude is scary good tho. Not the least bit slick, but that guy is a wrecking machine I think he's going to wreck everyone's **** 160-168 eventually.

Am I the only one that thinks Quinllin vs Martinez is a damn good fight...Martinez has already got the best money fight he's gonna get against Chavez, he will not get a fight with Floyd and definitely not Pac...

He should either move up to 168 fight Ward or fight Peter Quinllin, Canelo (since he says he can still make 154) or just ****ing retire already!

If I were Martinez, I would defenitely consider Quillen if the Chavez fight fell through, but only because Quillen is by far, a less dangerous fight than GGG.

Quillen is far too raw to beat Martinez.

IMO both...but I don't think size would be as big a factor as skill level.

Yeah he can make 160, but he doesn't have to and doesn't want to.

Blah, blah, blah...I haven't seen Ward in a boring fight in quite some time, his fights with Kessler, Abraham, Froch, Dawson and even Green were all entertaining, his fight against Bika wasn't his fault because Sakio makes all his fights ugly, Sergio claims he wants to be the best pound 4 pound but usually you have to move up & defeat the best to achieve this feat...

He just wants big money fights so he wants a smaller fighter in Floyd or Manny both who never even maxed out at 154...if he expects them to fight a bigger man in himself he should be expected to face bigger fighters at 168 which is only one division north, but he rather go one division south to face a smaller fighter...Sergio is full of **** and only wants a payday which I can respect, but he should just say that he wants the money, don't try and dupe the boxing public by claiming he wants to be the best by fighting cma career welter or a career light weight...

Quillen isn't all that raw to be honest, I think he's very good and poses as big a threat to Sergio as GGG...Sergio is 37 he should either retire move up or fight the up-coming talent at middle weight wether its Quinllen or Golovkin...

Quillin hasn't looked particularly impressive beating guys coming off losses for the past 2 years and already turned down the Martinez fight anyway.

Well why doesnt Ward do what Dawson did and go down to 160 if he really wants the fight. That would be the only way it would be fair.

    Both.

Serg is a solid MW now. But thats the highest he can go. And on top of that, the guy is overrated. Definitely good, but not great. Even if they were the same size Ward would **** on him. And Ward is right to dismiss Serg as too little to fight him.
