Is Ward vs. Dirrell capable of selling 15,000 tickets in America?

In Oakland or a nearby city maybe, but not in Detroit. The economy is shitty, Ward really has no fanbase out there, and even Dirrell's own fans must hate watching him.

I'd assume Ward's numbers will go up as he's kept winning and is getting a name for himself. If the fight was in Oakland I'd expect over 10,000 easily, and 15,000 isn't out of the realm of possibility if the fight is promoted well, which it won't be.

15,000 people might be in the building, but there's no way they'll sell that many tickets.

They'd be doing good to get half that number, that's how far boxing has fallen.

 

I wish this fight was in the UK, I'd love to attend.


It's a shame to think two great fighters like this couldn't fill an arena but there we go.
