I think Floyd has 4 wins that come close..

    Genarro Hernandez
    Diego Corrales
    Castillo 2
    De La Hoya

If Ward would have beaten Chad at 175 I would have said it was a better win hands down then all of those.. Still a great win though.

Probably 10 wins on Floyds resume better than Wards win over Starving Chad Dawson.

All Floyd's wins are impressive because he wins by such wide margins. Except when he's fighting pressure fighters. They give him the most trouble.

So you're saying Ward can't do the same to Dawson at 175?

He probably could have but he didn't want to (despite now suddenly talking about moving up), so he doesn't get that credit.

Ward's also wins by wide margins and stopped Dawson.

Too bad theoretical victories aren't listed on boxing records. The only existing win Ward has over Dawson was one in which he beat up a clearly drained fighter who had been getting his ass kicked in sparring by two guys who decisively lost their next fights.

Dawson has never accomplished anything at 168.

Ok so hypothetically, let's say he rematches Dawson at 175 and does the same thing.. Would you then say it's a better win then any in Floyd's career?

That's dependent on how Dawson looks. Recklessly trying to lose that much weight could affect him for the rest of his career a la Jones. If Ward had decided to take a risk for a change and move up for the first fight, then maybe, but as usual he wanted everything on his terms.

    nah its not.

floyd moving up in weight is better then challenging a fighter going down in weight, then effectively being drained.

    :patsch Troll

Chad lost at 175lbs to Pascal, and his best win was over a 47 year old, and other fighters nearer to 40. Forget that?
How is that better than Corrales, De La Hoya, Castillo, Cotto, Hatton etc
Its not and Chad was fighting at a weight where he has no pedigree
