Is Ward's win over Dawson better then any in Floyd's career?

which was very easy to do as dawson didn't have the strength to throw any punches. the end.

but he's already got in dawsons mind. so beating him at 175 at this point would prove very little. let dawson get some wins under his belt first and get his confidence back.

nah, the zab win for floyd was much better. at least he was able to fight at the weight they fought at. unlike dawson.

that wasn't a close fight, pascal clearly beat him.

who knows if he'd beat pascal in a rematch. he hasn't done it yet, so that means nothing.

dawson beat a man who looked his age... and looked like **** doing it. nothing to write home about is it.

Floyd's best win is Corrales (because it took place at a time when Corrales was an unbeaten champion with a monster aura and Floyd just destroyed him, and Corrales later went on to have some successes later in his career afterward, proving that Floyd didn't beat a guy near the end of the line.) His second best win is the faded shell of Oscar, only because De La Hoya is the best fighter he's ever fought and it took place above his natural weight. His third best win is the Castillo rematch. He deserves credit for taking an immediate rematch to a fight most people (including me) felt he lost the first time and decisively winning.

Ward beating Dawson was impressive in how dominant it was, but the weight draining puts a bit of a cloud over the performance for me. I still think Ward's run through the Super Six tournament was very impressive though, and better than anything Floyd has put together since leaving 135 pounds.

Pascal won the first 3 rounds clearly and everything after that was close, some could even argue that Pascal would have gotten KO'd had it not been for the premature stoppage.

Bull**** bro.. Dawson stopped throwing Punches cause he was getting beaten to the punch badly by stiff jabs and left hooks. The end.

If he could do the same at 175 like most real boxing fans feel he could then the weight drained excuse argument is mute. Personally I thought he should have fought Chad at 175 so their can be no excuses, but I have no doubt it would have ended with the same result.

    Genaro- Debatable

    Corrales- Debatable

Castillo I- Had that fight a draw, so theirs no way it's a better win.

    Castillo II- Debatable

Oscar- Oscar was a part time fighter and fought respectably so I don't see how that can be a better win then a 10th round TKO over Dawson.

    Hatton- Hell no

Cotto- Nah.. Floyd won clearly, but in no way did he dominate.

Marquez- Good win.. But I never thought stylistically JMM ever had a chance to win.

Chavez- C'mon now.. Are u a boxing fan or a Floyd fan?

Judah- FFS everyone in the boxing world knew if u take Judah pass 6 rounds he gases.

    Mosley- :shock::shock::nut:nut:lol::patsch

Genaro, Corrales and the 2nd Castillo wins were very impressive, but IMO Chad Dawson is a more complete fighter then those guys are.

You think Ward would have hurt him with every punch at 175, dropped him 3 times and had him quit? Where was this power against china chinned Miranda and Allan Green? You realize these dudes get stopped by EVERY contender level guy, except Ward?

Mayweather beating Marquez is better than Ward beating Dawson.

Yes I believe he could have.. Against Dawson, Ward was at his very best and looking to put on a show and stop him being that it was his first fight televised by HBO.. Against Miranda and Green he knew he could easily outbox them and didn't need to take any unnecessary chances looking for a KO..

Here, I'll let Nazim Richardson explain it to you......

Chad Dawson is an excellent athlete, but as a fighter, sorry, he's not a special fighter among champs. The win over Dawson doesn't warrant anymore attention than the win over Kessler or Froch. May's wins over Castillo, Corrales, even faded ODLH, Cotto, all more impressive to me. And I loved Ward's performance against Dawson.
