    Is/was Nigel Benn the most exciting British - world level - boxer to watch of the last 25 years?


    *I know "exciting" is a very subjective term*

    Haye is quite exciting - in a car crash kind of way

    When he fights guys like Monte Barret - and gets in a fight - he is up and down

    I think the John Ruiz fight is gonna be real exciting despite Ruiz usual boring nature - cos Haye is gonna have the confidence to go for it

    And Ruiz will hurt him -

    Yep I'd take Benn, but Naz was exciting to watch as well. Whoever is 3rd is a distant one IMHO.

    It wasn't just Benn's in-ring style, it was his persona too. Particulary in the early days, he came across as one mean ******* - and it came across genuine, not as an act. I think that added hugely to the whole Dark Destroyer image.

    Naz was amazingly exciting too, and his ****-sure attitude (love or loathe it) was entertaining in a different way, and always seemed somewhat tongue in cheek. With Nigel, you just got the impression he really hated his opponents and wanted to tear their heads off.
