Is Wilder a better win than Whyte or vice versa?

I don't really get this emphasis on knockout power with Wilder, the first quality boxer he faced, he couldn't knock out in 3 fights... completely padded his record knocking out tomato cans. You cannot talk about all time great power, when it only works on C level boxers.

Whyte will be a harder fight for Fury.

 

Whyte has more to his game and could possibly be scrappier if you try to get in close and rough him up, but I think Wilder was the riskier fight because of the height/reach and that long range sniper bullet right hand.

 

You could also make the argument, that Fury just has the best recovery out of any modern heavyweights and is the dominant force in the division - which is Wilder came up short.

 

They could be.
I would rate Parker higher but that's only my opinion and based off him having what I think is a better resume.
I think opposition is always worth considering.
I think Whyte has a better resume, I just picked 4 fighters each off the top of my head. No doubt you could add Breazeale, Duhpaus and Szpilka on Wilders list but could add Helenius and Chisora to Whytes list

 

Wilder is a way bigger win than Whyte,just for the simple fact that nobody else has been able to beat Wilder except Fury. For all Wilders flaws it’s still yet to be seen if any other fighter has the needed attributes to beat him,however as for Whyte he has already been starched twice by both Joshua and Povetkin and should also have lost to Parker and Chisora 1.

 

To be real Whyte is just above a fat Millar that popped against AJ, Rivas made wary, Ol man Povetkin decided he was bored & ko'd him, AJ had him falling a bout , Parker " arguably" lost... Wilder represents a Clear & Presnt danger to anyone opposite...the only guy apart from Fury who , imo could weather his Storm is Joe Joyce...all the rest are getting carried out...

Whyte's resume is about 2-3 classes above Wilder's.

Parker, Rivas, Chisorax2, old Povetkin, Helenius, Browne, Wach>>>>> old man Ortizx2, Szpilka, Duhapaus, Stiffverne, Molina, Washington, Brezeale.

Whyte has some losses, but that's unavoidably what happens when you consistently fight dangerous opposition, and not cherry-picked C-level fighters.

 

Wilder needs to fight a few live bodies or both his and Fury's resume is going to be questioned I'm the future.

Fury's one good win was a scrappy affair against an over the hill Wlad. After that, it is his trilogy with Wilder, who has sparked out a line of tomato cans.

Fury realises the difficulty Usyk poses, otherwise why would he retire before his career defining fight?

 

Vlad was unbeaten for 10+ yrs when he fought Fury...no one had him anywhere near a hill at that stage....

 

Agree with this it's pretty much how I see it. Whyte has the better resume but Wilder was an unbeaten belt holder.

 

Absolutely not. It is chap & unfair & absent any decent evidence that every top boxer is a cheater & a liar.

 

Agree, also far riskier because Wilder had all the hometown advantages his Uncle Al could provide. Fury can outbox Whyte to a decision, the cards from LA proved that wasn't an option against Wilder and forced him to change his approach for the rematch.
