Is Wilder Becoming The Most Overrated Boxer In The Modern Era

    The guys can punch but can you really say that he is better than Joshua. Looking at the weaknesses and strengths of both, you can see that there isn't a huge power disparity and Joshua is actually the stronger and better boxer. Same with Fury, Fury lacks the power, but he does everything pretty much so better than Wilder. Can someone please explain to me why Wilder is being favored over both when he clearly doesn't have same skill-set or resume compared to the other two?

    I favour Wilder over Fury, because I don't see massive power versus a frail chin as a particularly good combination for Fury.

    Don't favour him vs Joshua though, Joshua technically far better and Wilder isn't so much superior to Joshua athletically to the point where it'd overcome his technical disadvantage.

    Wilder got up after facing the legendary Nichols check jab. That in itself deserves a high rating.

    That's not the point. People are placing Wilder on the Thurman, Crawford, Spence, Loma, Usyk, Canelo, and GGG level

    If anything he's underrated. In the United States he's less known to casual boxing fans than other domestic fighters and and a multitude of fighters globally. The hardcore boxing fans consensus seems evenly split between Dustin Nichols devotees and rational people. So if include the ignorant with the naysayers Wilder is probably in the 25 to 35 percent realm of rating positively.

    There have been so many modern era fighters that were significantly more overrated I leave the forum to fill in behind me a brisk discussion of the most overrated fighters of the modern era.

    I don't believe that we will see the fight Wilder - Fury.Wilder was so afraight to fight with Povetkin, and Fury i think is even better.Maybe he(Wilder) will get an injure, or something will happen.
