I hope Wilder does fight Povetkin before a potential clash with Tyson. He has to earn the right to a shot at unifying the belts. If he beats Povetkin then fair enough he deserves his shot but not before.

Luckily, Fury is fighting Klitschko in the meantime, so there's plenty of time for Wilder to agree upon defense with Povetkin. Hope WBC will grow a couple of ***** and order them to start negotiations right away.

So, in best case scenario we have eliminator between Fury/Klitschko vs. Povetkin/Wilder. Hopefully, the winner unifies with Charles Martin.

You can bet on it. Povetkin was ready and made an excellent 10 millions offer as soon as Wilder became champion. Wilder refused and avoided him for a whole year.

He's now resorted to planning his fights just after Povetkin has one, so to leave him with 2 options:

1-Take the fight and enter the ring unprepared and/or stressed from the precedent bout
or 2- Not take the fight giving Wilder a pathetic excuse that doesn't hold up to any man with a couple working neurons, but good enough for Deon****'s re****ed fans.

I heard last night Wilder made $1 million for the fight.

Weird to be talking about Wilder ducking when Povetkin already offered $10 million. How dumb would that be?

Anyway, IMO, if there is a purse bid and the fight is headed to Russia, considering all the facts involved, then I expect Wilder to drop the belt.

No he will KO him in brutal fashion. Povetkin struggled with Huck face first brawler and a cruiser.

Why are people still referring to that fight? It was Povetkins worst fight yet to date, but he still won it against a tough opponent. This fight was four years ago, people should stope whining about it. Povetkin has looked fantastic since his loss vs Klitschko and beat 2 top-10 guys and 2 top-25 heavyweights.

You are only as good as you have been in your last fight, and Povetkin looked absolutely terrific against good opposition. Szpilka was outboxing Wilder yesterday.

He will knock Wilder out easily, but I am confident that Wilder will chicken out of this fight.

I was wondering how much Povetkin will make if he fights in the USA (obviously more than in Russia & possibly more than he made vs Wlad)

Couldn't even begin to guess. Do you think it's big enough to make a ppv?

    I don't.

That said, I guess now I'm not sure Wlad didn't pay him more than what he'd get paid to fight Wilder...
