Herndon had a style similar to Usyk...maybe this recent win and fight is for that

But a million levels below... And he still took far too long to get the job done to suggest he'd be in any way competitive with Usyk.

Look at it from Usyks perspective - he doesn't have long left, so what do prospective fights need to bring?
    - Money
    - Legacy

    Preferably both.

Legacywise... History is unlikely to be kind to Wilder once the remaining hype dies down, IMHO, and there are fights out there that are likely to age far better.

Money... Draw isn't necessarily everything if Turki wants it, but he's also keen on a reputation for good bouts - I'm not sure he'd want to make something like this that wouldn't be competitive?

Jeez, man I hope you are trolling.

I can't see any way this fight happens. Usyk has Dubois, and then if he sticks around, mandatories against Parker, Kabayel, Wardley, and...yes...Derick Chisora!

If he sticks around and goes the more performative route, it will be a Fury or Joshua "trilogy," which I hope dies from lack of interest. He was talking about Pereira, but that seems dead.

The other option is an MMA fight with Jake Paul, so he might be done with boxing.

In any event. Wilder probably isn't in the cards, although I would like to see Usyk give up the heavyweight belts and fight Wilder and Beterbiev at Bridger. Just my idea....no one is talking about this.
