pretty good card last night at least for entertainment purposes

first lets start off with tony harrison/jarret hurd....now i havent read any ESB analysis/threads on this fight....so what is the consensus? i was texting with a friend and he said he thought harrison was tired....i stayed in and went over my fathers to watch the card and have some food...i was saying to him before the stoppage that i thought harrison was fighting stupidly and carelessly for a guy that should have a decent lead.......i always hate seeing guys who can jump out to nice leads and cant adjust properly to a style where they can win enough rounds but also keep themselves out of danger.....i kind of felt bad for that kid

now....we all know the hate deontay gets around here....and when you watch him fight you can see why....he gives rounds away doing absolutely nothing....and when he does it often doesnt look pretty......but this guy finds a way to get it done.....that short right was vicious and on the mark.......before the fight he said "youre gonna see a pitbull against a poodle"....now i myself would never refer to mr washington as a poodle......but man is deontay right? is he a pit? does this guy just have IT? that instinct? that ability to measure and put people away?

Harrison has the skill to come again.... Will take a lot of work in the gym and putting all of tools together at the right time for him to make an impact though. Hurds tough, awkward and finds a way to win, but tonight showed that he might have long term issues with pure boxers like Harrison.

I agree....Harrison has some ability...needs to adjust his style or learn to later in a fight so he can cruise

Eh Harrison can't get passed the Willie Nelsons and the Jarret Hurds of the world. He's going to end up a gate keeper

I stayed up late and got 3 fights that left me entertained and happy that id stayed up. Harrison was clearly the more skillled fighter in there but as soon as Hurd felt the need to throw caution to the wind he got through Harrisons defence way too easy, somebody who can Box as well as Harrison should be able to whether storms like that through their ability.

And a shout out to big Dominic. Good win, really good skrap. He gained a fan in me when he visited the UK for his title shot, my kind of fighter. Good luck in the next one.

Wilder is freakishly big and lanky. Most guys around that height and weight are either soft or ripped out monsters.

Wilder's so rangy he has that fast twitch Usain Bolt type frame. He also reminds me a small bit of Naseem Hamed. . .

He will continue to win by K.O, until the day he is K.O'd himself. All he did today was wait for the chance to spark Washington, who did a pretty good job of winning the rounds but without being really destructive.

Heeeellllss no, Wilder is anything but a pitbull.

If somebody says a fighter is a pitbull, I'm thinking of Marvin Hagler against Hearns, Roberto Duran and Tyson.

Wilder had all the athleticism and grace of a stuffed dummy.

If I hadn't known who was the champ, I would have said that Washington was doing well defending his belt against this clueless noob, that he displayed mastery of the ring and control of the fight until Wilder demonstrated what we mean by "puncher's chance".

I reckon that the other champions all rip him a new one.

tony is legit . i really do believe. he gets tired. and physically hes not very strong.

kronk gym is amazing gym and done wonders with tony . but i kno tony will never do this hes to loyal to detroit and kronk but its ok to get another trainer an add a couple things from another great boxing mind and add to wat steward already taught you . an you can always go back to kronk i just think he needs to add a couple things . do sumthing to make his jab stronger he needs to be physically stronger n fight a little better on the inside. tony w/ hard work can work his way back up to the top he deff has the tools , skills, talent

I agree, he always runs out of gas around the 8th or 9th round. Hurd seemed like the stronger guy in there also, I was thinking maybe Harrison needs to hire a better strength and conditioning guy. He has all the tools to be a champ, sometimes after guys get knocked out they are never the same. He could have some type of mental block that makes him feel even tired than he actually is after 8 rounds.

Harrison has skills but seems not to react well when he gets hit flush and his stamina is horrible.

i wanna know why tony stamina is an issue ? he looks to be in great shape.i hear some say hes a big 154 he looks small to me. compared to nelson an hurd he looked small. but i also see he has like no body fat so maybe he does need to go to 160 n maybe he wont tired so easily. he has good enough skill to outbox alot of guys if his stamina can stay good. he can box good from the outside if he can just do that for 8 or 9 rds and work on other facets of his game so he can survive the whole fight cuz he will be competitive on the cards no doubt if he can just make it there .
