Wilder is on free TV. When I was in LA they would not even show Wilder's fight against duhpause for free, they showed racing instead.

You can't compare free tv to pay to watch tv.

Wilder being on free tv, and some states still not showing it just shows how unpopular Wilder is compared to Joshua and Fury.

Care to be more specific? Auto racing? Horse racing? You-just-made-that-up racing?

Well, since you "thought" you heard it.

    Vector arena NZ capacity: 12,000.

Therefore 75% full for Parker's fight.

    Legacy Arena Alabama capacity: 21,000.

Therefore 57% full for Wilder's fight.

Highly likely both had limited seating/some seating blocked off hence the round figures of 9,000 and 12,000 respectively, and therefore both were probably at capacity.

Ha interesting choice of figures you use there... fury vs wlad but you use Joshua’s viewing figures from the takam fight.

    Why not Joshua vs wlad

Don't know if I can spell it correctly NASCAR racing.

First day in LA and excited to watch the fight. They would not even show Wilder on TV for free in LA, instead they had NASCAR racing(or however you spell it).

If Parker was bigger than Wilder, then why no talk of holding it in a big stadium in summer?

I thought all the biggest stadiums in the UK were occupied until summer? Why would they hold such a huge fight in March if there aren't any huge venues?

    That wouldn't MAXIMIZE the profits.

Why would they put the BIGGER fight in a small venue?

Joshua Wlad did 600,000 on Showtime. Wilder-Washington did three times that. Wilder-Stiverne Saturday was double that.

Joshua's ratings in the U.S. dropped by half when he fought Takam. In other words, he doesn't draw here either. No matter how magical he may seem to you guys.

AJ vs Wlad was on a pay tv channel.

Wilder fights are free, and not even shown in some states.

Guys, the translation is: Joshua is fighting Parker before Wilder possibly because Hearn and Joshua think that it's an easier fight than Wilder.

Wilder-Stiverne 2 last weekend was on the same channel as Joshua-Takam the week before. Wilder drew around 900,000. Joshua drew 300,000.

Joshua-Klitschko was on Showtime, Wilder-Stiverne 2 drew more. Same channel.

Wilder is a bigger draw in the U.S. than Joshua is. (Don't have a heart attack.)

    http://www.boxingnewsonline.net/david-haye-on-dave-second-highest-viewing-figures-ever/

Link to Haye getting 2.2 million views fighting a bum. More than AJ vs Wlad's 1.5 million.

Wow this must mean Haye is doing better than Joshua.

No idiot it means Haye was on free TV, and AJ on pay per view TV!!!

You have been dining out on these figures the last few days but the pretty meaningless as there are many variables.

I’m not saying they are not somewhat relevant... and Wilder may well be more popular in the states I don’t know I’m not from there so if an American told me that was the case I would accept that.

But those figures are not comparing apples with apples.

I am from and live in the UK and lived for nearly 6 years in NZ and I can tell you NZ’s population may be 4.5 million but if there was a stadium big enough half of the population would turn up for that... and everyone in Samoa would turn up for it.

Similar in the UK, AJ does good PPV numbers but if the fight was free to air he would get viewing figures of over 10 million I would say maybe 12-14 million.
