No he is widely seen as one of Boxings biggest idiots at the moment. His arguments about failed drugs tests are weak, his arguments about being feared and ducked are weak but the biggest thing for me is questioning Mike Tyson and his own resume. What an idiot, if these are his patterns of thought then no wonder nobody takes him seriously. The reality of things is if he didnt have the amount of power he has he would be nothing in this sport. He would already have a good 6 or 7 losses on his record and he has not fought anybody good yet, hasnt fought anybody with a decent defense. He is a long long way off being the baddest man on the planet.
baddest man on the planet? He has hardly fought anyone. I don't think Joshua is scared of him. I pick Joshua to knock him out if they ever fight.
Has consistently fought carnival clowns, taxi drivers and doorman. So we must presume that is his level until proven otherwise. Backing out of a fight against an old man with a heart condition and High BP is lame, especially when at least you get some kudos for beating him, as he would have been by FAR your best opponent to date
Not even close. He's regarded as a bit of a fraud atm by many. As soon as he steps up (if that ever happens), he gets beaten imo. Tbh I could see Wilder retiring soon. Say he goes 40-0 after still having fought nobody. I can imagine him saying that he's achieved everything to achieve in the sport or something ridiculous like that. I can also see him saying stuff like how he's proven himself to be the greatest of his era and all that rubbish.
Wilder has the tools and the in-ring demeanour to be a good exciting fighter but until he is seen to take more risks and fight opponents that can be seen as having a chance of actually winning then he never be seen as the baddest man on the planet. He’s fast becoming more well known for his online rants and whining than for what he does in the ring.
