Wilder fights no one that has a big name in boxing bar Fury.

Whyte he ducks & wants no part of him.

    Parker/Povetkin he won't fight & let's not forget AJ.

    Discuss.

Ortiz, the "boogeyman" of the division. Was an unexpectedly good opponent for Wilder.

Stiverne was in everybody's top 10.

Bottom line is that it is the HW division. Joshua and Povetkin are the only ones who can really say they have gone through any sort of gauntlet.

The heavyweight division at the moment is not stacked not a whole lot of competition,, Ortiz was a good win a hard fight that was back and forth,, Fury was coming off a long lay off for a championship bout but Fury is one of those guys that rises to the event every time! Wilder can beat any heavyweight in the World the man can punch and he ain't afraid to let'em go not the best techinque but power is king!

The Ring rates the top five heavyweights as Wilder, Joshua, Fury, Ortiz and Whyte.

Wilder has successfully defended his title against two of the remaining four, scoring a combined five knockdowns along the way.

Joshua hasn't defended the title against anyone currently rated in the Ring top five.

Povetkin was ranked 3rd when AJ beat him and Parker was also in the top 5 at the time AJ defended against him.

Clearly, Parker didn't belong. He won a vacant belt against Andy Ruiz. Parker will never win another title again.

So you agree he has defended against two top 5 ring contenders?

    No. Not currently.

You can see who the top five Ring contenders are. Joshua hasn't defended against any of them. Stiverne used to be a top five Ring contender. So what?

Right, so whenever it suits your argument as per usual, you’re just as bad as the Wilder haters.

Wilder is a poor boxing champion who has relied on his punching power alone and has struggled against terrible opponents.
His best win is an unproven (cuban amatuer pfffff), lacklustre and very well aged Ortiz. The same Ortiz who has a best win over jennings and struggled against Christian Hammer.
Wilder was comprehensivly outboxed agasint Tyson Fury and needed home cooking to save his belt and then in organising the rematch needed to make sure the same cooking was to be applied. No wonder Fury so F### You Wilder and went to ESPN.

He speaks the same "One Name One Camp...." rhetoric yet plans his awful defences into the future against AGAIN Ortiz and then a fat polish kid, all the while pretending to be a "bad man".
His now pathetic and undefendable ducking of Anthony Joshua is both cowardly and detestable. He publicly offered $50m dollars which was accepted and then refused to send further details or meet on the subject (his manager calling meetings "non-productive"..
When a meeting finally takes place, an offer of $120m including a guaranteed fight to make "one name one face" occurs, Deontay Wilder waddles off... No return offer, no talks, nothing.

Wilder and his managers NEED it all their own way, the cards are stacked heavily agasint them and only Wilder AJ on a PBC/SHO card will do as minimum. Wilder can't fight without his sweet momma shelly's cooking.

Wilder is a paper champion and only himself and his fans believe he deserves the WBC belt, the rest of the world knows he is a fraud.

He is the biggest disgrace (currently) in boxing beyond any shadow of a doubt.

No but he has defended his title 3 times against Ring Magazines top 5 at the time, scoring 5 KDs along the way but

Parker, Klitschko and Povetkin > Ortiz and Fury

Not to mention he robbed Fury and has KOed Whyte just not for the title

How is Wladimir Klitschko better than Tyson Fury?

How is Joseph Parker better then Tyson Fury and Luis Ortiz?

Go away. Let me know when you get your driver's license.

Two successful defenses (five knockdowns scored) against (the current) top five Ring contenders.

    That's dominance.
