A rematch with Arreola instead of a fight with AJ... It can't get much worse than that.

Wilder didn't duck Joshua or his masters mere 100 million offer. Remember how Wilder said he was going to freeze Joshua out? Turing down the 100 million deal is a genius move by Wilder. Wilder is playing 4D chess, the mans living years ahead of us.

Read my previous post, Dazn are absolute frauds. Wilder's brilliant plan to freeze Joshua out is coming to fruition.

This is definitely not a good look for Wilder. The reasoning absolutely makes no sense. He held out for more money from the $12 million flat fee (I've no issue with that), but now he refuses to take a nine figure deal and says "It's not just about money". That is senseless and very suspect.

Let's see what he says on the situ. If he doesn't want to be tied down to a multi-fight deal, then that sucks but that's his prerogative. If that's his stance though, then there should be no reason they can't work out a one off fight or one with a rematch clause between him and AJ.

ESPN have some details on the two offers he's declined:

Although I long since bored of this saga I'm disappointed nonetheless. Skipper's involvement last week suggested that we may be near an end game. It would've been great to have these fights to look forward to.

This looks to be a fight about the future broadcasting landscape. A one off fight suits Showtime's PPV platform. A series suits DAZN's subscriber model. If Wilder will only sign a one off deal then he's effectively saying the fight has to be on Showtime ppv. Which sucks if you're an American fan who has to find 80 bucks for it.

Quite right and naturally in war it's the civilians (fans) who suffer the greatest. Forced into taking sides via partisan belief or enforcement...

Yep. Up until now my thinking was that they just differed in Wilder's share and other conditions, and one can see how that's an issue A loss could be more or less a career ender for especially Wilder, who soon is 34 and probably nearing the end of his career, so of course he wants to get paid. But there is no reality where a 100 mil is not getting paid.

Yeah, ive had big suspicions for a while now. Wilder has walked away from offers, contracts and plea's to negotiate a deal for a year now and his main manager Finkel has acted very strangely for a guy trying to make a fight this whole time too. 24 hour deadlines, refusing to send contracts or terms, cancelling meetings and ignoring phonecalls and emails, demanding Hearn sends him offers and when Hearn sends him offers calls Hearn rude for sending offers cuz its a big deal it should be negotiated and then Hearn says ok lets talk and Finkel says no. Its just the strangest behaviour from a respected and time served Boxing manager who has never done business like that before. And dont forget before Wilder had his DAZN meeting Finkel was supposed to have one and he never showed up. Didnt cancel, just did not show up.

But then you look at Wilder and his resume and recall the old rumours that he has had a very protected career then it sorta fits with what seems to be happening now. Personally i think its his management that have ducked Joshua more than Wilder himself,But they seem to be able to get him to go along with what ever they want. So yes i think its been all a massive duck.
