Vitali Klitschko. His best win is Chris Arrolea and his fanboys think he can beat any HW that ever lived.

Wilder isn't highly rated so how can he be overrated.

Whyte would batter Breazeale Atm this is why Wilder fights Breazeale & not the true no1 in the WBC.

I merely gave opinion regarding the thread title whether Wilder is most overrated World Heavyweight Champion, my opinion is no he is not.

Well Fury sorta took himself out of the reckoning for a while, AJ is on the cards just at the talk/build fight stage, as for Whyte well win against him will not change my opinion of Wilders resume.

Wilders pocket might be lighter if he does not fight the above, but hardly light, getting over a million per fight is not putting him into financial destitution.

I could live without folk respecting me if i am banking millions, but yes i like you want to see the best fight the best.

We all want to see the best fighters fight each other,Wilder could have got 12 million for fighting AJ that's why I say light.1 million per fight when he holds the WBC belt aint much when he could of got about 4 Million for fighting Whyte.Wilder can carry on fighting lesser boxers but if he does he should never get anywhere near HOF.

lol there is a reason why the call Wilder "the running man"..

You should be a bit careful in case Povetkin sues your ass too like the 4.3 million he just took of Wilder for making up lies... Spreading the same lies makes you just as liable a Wilder was, plus comments like yours most likely help Povetkins case so well done you cost Wilder 4.3 million...

Out of interest do you have anything worth taking by Povetkin??

Wilder maybe earning $1-2 mill per fight but after taxes and everyone taking their cut I would be surprised if he sees 30% of the net purse. 40% would go on taxes, 5-10% to his trainer, 5% to Haymon, 5% to Finkel, maybe Dibella takes a cut too. Wilder may have earned about $12 mill in purses from his 8 title fights, if he sees 30% of that then that's only $3.6 mill net.

Wilder's has expensive tastes. Versace jackets, Chinchilla coats, a large collection of luxury cars, jewelry etc. That kind of lifestyle will quickly burn through his cash.

Then there's the alimony payments to his ex-wife and 4 kids. Plus he has another kid on the way with his current GF.

Suffice to say unless Wilder has made some very smart investments to boost his income he is likely burning through most of his cash as soon as he gets it.

Worse part is, his pay goes up, his child support goes up. Child support enforcement agency is so freakin shady.

His expensive tastes etc are his choice, even Mike Tyson who earned mega money blew most of it, some folk will always never have enough.

I went back and looked at Wilder's opponent and their records for the past 4 years.. . . nine of the ten were ranked by organizations and eligible for title fights with combined records of 232-13-4.. . . How are these guys considered cans?. . . .Look at past champions records pf all-time greats and compare. Even Muhammad Ali at the same stage of his career fought Rudi Lubbers, Chuck Wepner, Jean Pierre Coopman and Joe Bugner. Joe Frazier had only two successful title defenses against Terry Daniels and Ron Stander. George Foreman fought Pedro Agosto, John Dino Dennis, Scott LeDoux and Jose "King" Roman at a similar point. At this juncture Lennox Lewis was fighting Frans Botha, Michael Grant, Zelijko Mavrovic and been KOd by Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman. Rocky Marciano and Sonny Liston forget about it. . .See Tyson Fury's list and with the exception of an aging Wladimir Klitschko he fought mediocre opposition. . .So just shut up about Wilder and his "bums". He is an Olympic Bronze Medalist with a 40-0 professional record including 39 knockouts and has won and defended the WBC title eight consecutive fights.
As far as fighting your British opponents I would say put the real, fair and credible money offers on the table and see what happens.

Heavyweight contains the least boxing skill in all the divisions, so it always makes he smile when we hear that Wilder is 'too wild'.....Joshua is 'chinny' etc.

ATG's like Ali/Tyson/Lewis etc all had huge weaknesses too.

    Tyson/Ali were too small.....
Lewis often had issues with his defence.....

Wilder is hard to 'rate' because his power looks impressive.....
But having your best wins against Ortiz/Stiverne doesn't look impressive.

With better marketing he would be earning bigger purses anyway, yes there are bigger purses out there as you say, however Wilder tries to give impression that he is not gambling small regarding bigger money fights, he says wants AJ bout, the biggest money fight, whether he genuinely does we will have to wait and see.

HOF, ATG, i don't seriously think DW is looking for that, if it occurred then great, but otherwise can't see he would be bothered, he will always go down in annals of history as having been at least WBC champion, that an achievement most never attain.

He is generally not rated very highly for such a claim.

David Haye wasn't long ago, guys. He was rated and thought of higher than Wilder is by more people, so I'd say he applies more hands down. From what I've seen, Tyson Fury is far more overrated than even Haye was and that is saying something.

"Overrated" is relative to the hype and rank at the time. It also comes down to the specific comments you've seen and the vibe you get from "the majority." So you could list plenty of guys you think are much better than Wilder yet still more overrated.

Because all you looked at was a record. There will always be a 'top ten', but that doesn't mean all 'top tens' were ever equal.
