Is Wilder the worst HW champion ever technique wise?

No Max Baer is....the poster boy for what would resemble a guy at 4 a.m of fighting after binge drinking!

 

He’s a lot like Max Baer. Just a big right hand. But worse? I don’t know.

 

His technique can be terrible at times. He's getting away with that because:
1. Stunning power
2. Weak HW fields of contenders

 

Watch some of the old greyscale HW fights. some are simply hilarious.

 

He understands proper spacing.

Wilder is far better at everything...I've actually entered the ring still drunk from the night before and had better technique than that guy.

He's horrible ,no other way to put it, just a face first big sloppy swinger....No offense you nostalgic nuts..I know you THINK that's good fighting.....

 

Since the pioneer days? Yes. His technique is worse than probably any champ's since Johnson.

 

Valuev was pretty terrible. Neither Wilder nor Valuev were ever considered "HW Champions", although that would change if Wilder beat the winner of AJ vs. Parker obviously.

 

Coetzee? Berbick?

 

Charles Martin had worse technique.
