In any comparison of the two, keep in mind that Wladimir had boxing skills. he did not just look to land one punch.

Not you.. I have heard this before about Wilder and his lack of experience and he needed time but this annoys me, people talk like Wilder walked in a gym and just turned pro.

Wilder won a Bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics, its reported that his amateur record was 30-5.

    Let's compare that to AJ.

AJ won a Gold medal at the 2012 Oylmpics, it's reported his amateur record was 40-3

So AJ was 4 years later to the Olympics, had roughly a similar amateur record and was a World Champion in his 16th professional fight and having a unification in his 19th professional fight.

Wilder won his World title in 2015, AJ won his World title in 2016.

You are correct. I understand how that reads...please allow me to reword it?

It's not experience he lacks-that caused Breland to give him a 30 fight +bum of the year tour. rather what we've all stated: He unlike AJ did not adapt well. Regardless of how many rounds aka (experience) he gains.

SO when I responded to this thread by the numbers- I wasnt looking at AJ...rather Wlad whose is the comparison. Not AJ, but I will address it.
Wladimir amateur record of 134–6. Deontay amatuer record 30-5.

That is our fundamental difference here. You are referring to experience. I am referring to his adaptation to our beloved sport Or lack thereof.

AJ IMO isn't that a great a boxer either. Far better than WIlder, but not good enough to beat up a fat guy. And has shown courage against fighters that probably shouldn't have been able to place him in such predicaments. Would more than 40 am fights have been a difference? I dunno.

I concur with your take 100%. He has the rounds to claim experience. Its about an inability to make those rounds beneficial for him from a fundamental point of view.
No comparison between Wlad & Wilder @ 35 fights 45 or 55 or 2550 fights. If I didn't make my point clear this time, it is on me, not you!

Klitchsko ruled the HW Division for nearly 10 years and ducked no one. There is no comparison to be made.

That was after his 34th birthday, but yes, the gap is huge.

Vlad had a long run as champ against manly low quality opposition. He also got sparked twice and didn't avenge the losses. Both fighters have questions about their title runs.Wilder has a chance to improve his legacy.Whether he does or not will be the question.
