Archie Moore fought a debuting fighter directly after coming from behind to KO Durelle.

Why are posters mentioning Martin ? He didn’t create a career with a handful of title defenses with 5 bosses planning the least resistance . He lost to the guy Wilder actually ducked isn’t that worse ? Another champion ducking ? Jesus Christ ....he didn’t even have a title defense to be marked as a worst anything. lmao

He was officially a world champion and he had a terrible resume. Basically Glazkov who he beat by accident and he later went on to beat Washington. Hell even Pulev has a better record than that.

Has anyone said Shakur Stevenson yet? His resume is pants, even if he is evidently very good.

It's quite harsh but I always rated low of Red Cochrane. I really did.

And another one is Bud Wallace I always rated lowly.

I mean going in to the Fury fight Wilder was ranked number 1 in the world so its only fair he's compared against other fighters who have held such a ranking.

And truth be told, I see nothing wrong with Wilders resume at all.

He was a brutal puncher, knocked out a bunch of guys, nearly knocked out Fury and got knocked out himself in the rematch.

    What's to dislike about it?

Yeah there's better fighters out there but the same is true for everyone.

Pulev has been boxing longer and is a national champion I don’t see how that’s relevant here .

Where is the evidence Martin should have been a world beater when he fought AJ to have some great resume you said was terrible, terrible by what standards in 2016 ?

The only fact here is Wilder constructed a career that his team carefully planned ,I think most logical people can come to the conclusion that’s worse then a green fighter Martin taking on a top 3 guy now and then and losing to him and knowing that’s not anywhere near being a worst Champion ever ?
