Is the only way he can fight, what else can he do when he doesnt have the boxing ability or the reach to fight from the outside if he's going to win it'll be by walking nonito down and making the fight a brawl and out slugging him...

Hatton, Cotto, and Margarito played the price of "I'm the bigger man" against Pacquaio. As for this match I think Donaire is just a better.

 

Yeah. WV2 is no Narvaez.

Which is to say, he's nowhere near as good defensively, intelligent, or reflexively sound and well-oiled as Narvaez. A bold attitude could get him KTFO where the little Argie was able to achieve the moral victory of surviving and collecting his paycheck in peace.

On the other hand, WV2 is much bigger and stronger and stands a better chance of hurting Donaire than Narvaez. Maybe even a better chance than the likes of Montiel, Darchinyan, Tyson Marquez, Chango, etc.

 

dont understimate WV2, his last fights show a huge improvement and he lost to Arce just because decided to fight the wrong fight going toe to toe.He is not gonna be dumb against Donaire,everybody knows Nonito hits hard.I think his chin is decent and dont know how is nonito carrying his power to 122, nonito biggest KO"s come against fighters below 118.Montiel himself- a big name-was way smaller than Nonito.It remains me of Hopskin at 160,he just looked like a monster against the smallers MW,including trinidad.

 

Arce fight was completely different Vazquez just could keep up with Arce who fought a great fight and looked like he turned the clock back for that fight. But Vazquez was in the fight against Arce he even dropped him and he is the naturally bigger man he is an inch taller and I don't think Donaire has ever fought anyone even close to his high he tower over his opponents. And Vazquez is a big 122 pounder and pretty strong and can fight well on the inside or outside. I think he can definitely give Donaire his toughest fight to date if he fights smart and doesnt walk into anything big.

I'm really looking forward to this fight.

 

i was thinking about this fight the other day. i was thinking to myself, is this a fair fight? vasquez is gonna get destroyed badly. and having a over protective dad doesnt help either

how is vasquez Sr being over protective? he doesnt have the same privileges as Chavez Jr, he was fighting a serious champ when he fought Arce.This kid may not go the hall of fame but he is willing to fight anybody with very little pro experience and zero amateurs.
even if i'll be rooting for WV2 i feel kind of attracked by nonito vs rigondeaux, if nonito loses( very unlikely) his showdown with Rigo is gone( remember gamboa vs lopez) but anyways: Arumm will never let that fight happen so...war WV2!

he wasnt taking a beating THAT BAD before the fight was stopped. they should have seen if he could survive the round. it was the last round, he was ahead on the cards, he was undefeated, he was the champ, and judges seem to favor the young fighter with more to lose when the fights are close.
