I there any question? Of course he's a hall of famer.

Don't be an idiot. He was offered 1.3 mil to fight Pavlik and turned it down because he knew he'd get dusted.

I personally think Winky is not going to make it. He never dominated
any division and his excitement level is below average. Add to this
his unsuccessful attempt to cash with Taylor and Hopkins and there you go.

LOL ........ No one has ever dusted Winky but Pavlik, a basic fighter would dust him. I suppose you would dust him too right :rofl :rofl :rofl

    What a idiot.

PS.... He also put a beating on Trinidad , JC Candelo, Sam Soliman ...... Wow ..... some people argue just to argue.

It seems you didn't even read my last response. I appreciate Wright's style and ability but the CASUAL FAN DOES NOT....which IMO is due to his lack of ko power. Also, I agree that Quartey was robbed against Forrest, but both those guys were far from being in their primes. I also agree that for years Winky and even Vernon Forrest were 2 of the most avoided fighters in boxing, but that isn't the case today. Boxing is a business and the fact remains that Winky doesn't have a lot of drawing power so he can't really expect to get multimillion dollar paydays....and correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he lose his last fight? The guy thinks he's DLH interms of marketabilty but most people would rather watch flys **** than see him box his way to a lackluster decision. It is what it is man....I'm not sure if he is HOF bound, but thats the point in writing a thread, to get other people's perspective....and next time when you reply, you should take the time to read what you're respondong to.:patsch :patsch

IMO, Wnky is way more fun to watch than B Hop. Im just stating that people dont have a mind of there own so when they hear " Winky is Boring " they run with it. And yea he lost his last fight ...... in a weight he had no business at. Didnt Bhop lose three big fights ??? Is he not HOF bound ???

Yes, Winky is HOF bound. He was the undisputed jr middleweight champ that had to give up his title in order to search for fights at higher weights. If he hadn't started campaigning above 160 - he probably would still be 154 lb champ today.

He's in easy. He dominated Mosley twice to be UNDISPUTED at 154. (When was the last time that happened?). Then pitched a shutout against a past-his-prime Tito, but 12-0 over a future HOF is still pretty impressive, especially when it was Winky's first big fight at 160. The draw against Taylor was controversial, and that was for undisputed at 160 as well.

He moved up TWO weight classes to fight Hopkins, so there's no shame in losing there.

Losses to Vargas and JC Vasquez are on his resume too, but you can't win them all.

    A first-ballot HOF, and I'm not even a fan.

He'll make it into the HOF, little to no doubt.

    Of course he is.

Mosely, Trinidad, Vargas (arguable), Taylor (draw, but arguable), Quartey, etc. Plus many damn good fighters along the way (Solimon, McKart a couple times, Hernandez, etc.). Multiple times JMW champ....one of the best ever at that weight. One of the best defensive fighters of this era (in the convo for top 25 defensive fighters ever). Only really clear loss was to Simon, before he really hit his stride.

No idea how anyone could say he isnt.

He probably will, everybody seems to get inducted eventually. But, that doesn't change the fact that he is/was a fighter of great skill who accomplished little.
