Is winning a fair decision in favor of GGG even possible in his 3rd fight vs Canelo ?

If GGG floors Canelo 12 times (once per round) without hitting the canvas himself, then yes there's a "chance" GGG might get the decision.

As one who thought the first fight was a close Golovkin win and the second was a draw, I don't think either of the first two decisions was outrageously bad. So yes, it is possible for Golovkin to get a fair decision. Unfortunately, I don't think he has what it takes to win the fight

 

Yeah if he can clearly win more rounds, he’ll get the decision. In both fights with Canelo there may be a total of 8 clear rounds one way or another.

 

There's a good chance he does get stopped this time provided Canelo comes in hot and on point. Early odds have Canelo as a 4 to 1 favorite. They also had Bivol a sizable underdog but Father Time is undefeated here.
Now, I will say the Bivol loss will help GGG a bit as Canelo will be coming into this fight with shaken momentum. Whereas before this loss his confidence was unshakeable, he may now have a few doubts.
At the same time, GGG is older and slower but he looks in great shape. He STILL stopped Murata who is a tough tough customer.
Canelo is also coming down from 175. I wonder if all the weight jumping will affect his stamina. How hard will GGG hit at 168?
Does he hurt Canelo this time which throws him off his game?
I'm interested in this fight now.

 

Wish we saw a trilogy 4 years ago. 2018 should have concluded the rivalry. These are the years they should have fought:

It's not a bad fight, but the excitement & odds aren't as intriguing as they were years ago - as they mostly favour Alvarez, despite his recent loss.

 

I think we might actually see GGG get KD by Big Red this time.

 

Big statement. Do you think Canelo will drop him? My head just cannot imagine Golovkin getting dropped. I can see him getting TKOed as he gets older but I just cant imagine GGG getting dropped
