Is Wlad a bit like Joe Louis in re-matches?

Doesn't matter anyway, Wlad beats him 9 out of 10 times.

Walking into a guy's punches head first until he collapses from exhaustion isn't a bankable gameplan.

After that fight, a lot of us thought that Liakhovick was the coming man, while Wlad was going to disapear into obscurity.

    Oh the irony!

He looked good against Brewster with those up/down combinations and overall body work.

Than he stunk up the joint against Briggs and got blasted out of the ring.

Guy had potential, he even looked good attacking Helenius' body last year. Maybe poor training habits, the claimed back injury, and a not too bright corner.

Brewster had some good performances after he beat Wlad. I agree with SuzieQ. Wlad destroyed Brewster and ruined him.

Byrd was still highly rated at the time and won several matches in a row.

Peter was in good shape and motivated for the re-match.

Thompson was older. Not much here, but modern day politics had everything to do with the re-match being made.

Wlad actually re-match some obscure guy ( Monroe ) who was DQ’d early in his career. Of coruse Wlad knocked him out in the re-match.

Net-Net, Wlad was extremely dominant in re-matches, going 5-0 with 5 Ko’s, and improved in each outing. Had Wald looked shaky or even lost any of the above re-matches, especially to Peter or Brewster, his hall of fame status would be in doubt.
