    After Peter being "exposed" by McCline, Chagaev unable to stay healthy ...
    is Wlad already the "true champion" in the division?

    If not then who should he beat?

    He beat Peter not so far ago, and Peter chin was just exposed.
    Who else can be considered as the threat to the "true champion" status
    ... Ruiz, Valuev, Povetkin, Haye, Golota, Vitaly ...?

    Peter had a busted eardrum in that McCline fight. A busted eardrum will **** up your equilibrium; making it easier for you to leave your feet. I don't think his chin was exposed.

    Vlad is the man in the HW division.

    On ESB front page there is a great piece on why much of the lack of respect for Vlad is undeserved.

    You didnt mind WBA champion, you meant Chagayev, right? But Chagayev is injured and probbaly stripped, Ruiz will definitely fight Valuev and if the fight is in US Ruiz will get the dirty nod. Aftre that there is very probable we will see Wlad - Ruiz this year.

    So are you still considering Wlad have to beat Ruiz to become "true man"/ring/lineal champion ?

    Yes.

    He is 12-2 in title fights, has been at or near the top of the division since 1999, has fought everyone that would face him, knocks out almost everyone he fights, and has already beaten the second best fighter in the division.

    It is a no brainer.

    OK so Wlad is not going to be a champion .... until Cahgaev is able to fight
    or winner of Valuev/Ruiz or whoever else will get the WBA belt for free?
