Is Wlad Klitschko last of a dying breed?

Floyds fights were much more boring.

 

Nah Klitschkos were more boring by far. Watch Floyd against the late great Diego Corrales. That was scintillating!.

 

Wlad only has so many devastating knockouts because he bores his opponent to death (along with the audience) and then knocks out the half asleep fighter

The only exciting Wlad fights are when someone finds his chin and forces him to do more than jab, grab and trow an odd left hook

I respect his accomplishments, but he was BORING

100% disagree. and now I'm thinking maybe you haven't even watched much of their fights. Cause now you're saying both Klitschko's which is ludicrous. Prime Vitali Klitschko was an absolute beast and very exciting to watch. Watch the Corrie Sanders, Danny Williams, Lennox Lewis, Herbie Hide, Larry Donald fights.

Floyd could bore a glass eye to sleep. Super defensive, cure for insomnia fighter. He became that safety first it was unwatchable.

The Mayweather vs Pacquaio fight where the whole world was watching disgraced boxing and was the worst advert for boxing ever, many potential new boxing fans never watched a fight again. All because of Mayweathers safety first tactics.

 

Vitali Klitschko would be a head to head nightmare for any Heavyweight in history. His height, Chin, awkward lean back style would not be easy to deal with. I’m not saying he beats everyone but he certainly wouldn’t be a pushover. Vitali rarely ever clinched and came to fight every time. I also don’t understand people shitting on Mayweather in this thread what is the point? Vitali and PBF were two of my favorite fighters the last 20 years it’s possible to like and respect both.

I turned off plenty of his fights after a few rounds

For all his flashy, pretentious, loud, cocky personality outside of the ring, once he stepped in the ring he was boxing’s most boring attraction.

Nothing makes me re-watch the Klitschkos fights particularly Wlad. Like I said condemned prisoners should be forced to watch his fights that is how bad and boring they were to watch. Vitally is a boring personality no charisma. Boring brothers. Look at Usyk such a charismatic fellow.

 

@African Cobra no big Mayweather fan could ever go in another boxers thread and call them boring. It's a non-starter unless you have zero self awareness

 

I stand by what I have said. Klitschkos don’t do it for me. However happy for you if they do it for you. Can’t imagine how though.

 

Fair enough, it is your opinion, but I struggle to watch highlights of Wlad's fights. I honestly do turn them off when I go back to watch them. He does have some great knockouts, but 99% of his fights are jab and grab, an odd left hook, then eventually he will fire a right hand

Even if floyd is more boring in your opinion, I guarantee the majority will think the same of Wlad. Did he throw a punch against Fury in the first 6 rounds?

I think Vitali is kind of ok, as he was a warrior and just didn't jab and grab, but yes very boring outside the ring

 

Vitali's fights were much more of snoozefests. He had no power and took on boring opponents. Wlad at least had that KO punch and fought the best available guys.
