    Athletic? :patsch

You do realise that he's derided for being a robotic stiff.

****ing Klitschko fans never fail to amaze me.

Call me crazy but i think David Haye was way more athletic then Wlad.

The problem with Haye was that he just relied on his athletic abilities, speed and power. He didnt give a **** on proper Boxing techniue and never had a good trainer in his corner.
**** he couldnt even throw an uppercut.

You might want to watch a few Riddick Bowe and Buster Mathis Sr. fights before making comments like these.

He's a great athlete. His skills and versatility are a lot less to marvel at, though.

Wladimir Klitschko does have great footwork and he gets outta the way very well but he is a one-dimensional fighter, jab, jab, right hand, hold! and thats about it. He's good at the basics but doesn't put together combinations and can't fight in the trenches. When someone hits him and comes foward he grabs them in desperation and holds on tight until the ref stops it. I like Wladimir but he is not a true great HW champ, he's fought slow, out of shape has-beens (apart from haye) and is only as defensive fighter with a good jab and right cross.
And the people who mention Jack Dempsey, well, he was good in his day for sure but thats about it, slow, ponderous and sluggish!

Best left hook in the business. That with the jab and cross is all you need when you have his footwork and speed.

How could you not mention the hook. Watch Wlad-Mercer.

Youre right he does have a good left hook as well, forgot to mention that but IMO he's too defensive. But I guess if you stick to what you know you won't get hurt. I would like to see Wlad against a good boxer/puncher and not another bum-of-the-month like Jean-Marc Mormeck and the already beaten Tony Thompson. Gettin' a lil tired of watching Wlad fight these guys

Most of these losers would get butthurt if someone claimed Wlad was awesome at lacing up his boxing boots.

Someone would claim that Sam Langford could have laced both his boots, twice as fast with his weak hand while he shined shoes with his dominant hand...

For his size yes. Wlads straight right is like a rocket, very fast - not to mention it carrys quite a bit of power behind it. Great balance, coordination, and his athletic gifts- combined with his dedication and work ethic - is the reason he has been has able to sustain such a long and successful career.

He's certainly a natural HW talent but I give the edge to somebody like Muhammad Ali who was simply more gifted.

Same with Mike Tyson. His blend of hand speed and power were unrivaled.

If you want to get technical; Roy Jones Jr was phenomenal.

  15. ali and its not even close.
